Hello All,

I am a newbie here so please be gentle with me. I was in another discussion group on another message board and we were trying to find out where to write or e-mail a fan letter to Ozawa Yukiyoshi who plays Kiso Yoshinaka. I do not read, write or speak Japanese although I am a big fan of the Japanese Doramas with English subtitles. Does anyone here have any info. on where to find Yukiyoshi Ozawa's mailing or e-mail address. I would appreciate any and all help. Thank you.

PS. This is my very first time posting here. How did I do? Fingers crossed

Hi newbie,

Your first post was fine... You might try searching through the Artistes section to see if there's a thread for this actor... Good luck!

And welcome to the boards!

Hi bmwracer,

I tried that. I did not see anything. Although sometimes I look at things too quickly so I might have missed it. I will check again. Thanks for your suggestion. Thank you for your warm welcome to this board. Are there any another message boards or a threads here that I should check out to see if they have Yukiyoshi Ozazwa's mailing info?

I don't know of any, but you might want to start a thread in the Artistes section if one doesn't exist for Yukiyoshi Ozawa...

If you're really determined, you might search for info on Yahoo! Japan... Case in point: I found out Yonekura Ryoko's Japanese character name, copied it, and pasted it in the Yahoo! Japan search engine (or Google.co.jp) and scored a ton of hits... That's how I found out what talent agency she belonged to... Big Grin

We are watching the series " Sakura" now on TV in NY. Please do not tell me how it ends if you have alreday seen it. We would like to write young Mr. Ozawa to let him know how much we are enjoying his preformance in that series. I know it is a corny daytime series but we are enjoying it here.

Have no fear.......We will find Yukiyoshi Ozawa!!!!! He can try to hide but we will find him! Crazy hehe Drooling Victory! Peace!

I knew you would understand bmwracer. Smile

Yes that is the man...Katsuragi-sensei. I wish I had a homeroom/gym teacher like him when I was in school. I realize he teaches at a boy's school but I would have worn a disguise to have him as my teacher! I did look in that link that you posted dochira. Thank you very much. I did not find a fan mailing or e-mail address there. I also tried the other suggetstions and no luck so far. Of course it would help if I could read and write Japanese, but I can not. I really do appreciate your help dochira. Smile

I did a quick search and found this address:

http://hotaru.milkcafe.to/top.htm

107-0062
`ŽR2-13-7 }gX3F
()RXVtg

Which roughly translates to:
Postal Code 107-0062
Minato-ku Minami Aoyama 2-13-7 Matorisu 3rd Fl.

I think the agency he belongs to translates to Comshift, but I don't know if I'm correct.

If you cannot read Japanese, these two sites may help:
http://babelfish.altavista.com (Though the translations are rough, at best)
http://www.popjisyo.com (For each word in kanji, it will give the English translation. It's more for people who are learning the language, but you get to do two things at once)

Edit: All this would be helpful in his own thread. But I don't want to be the person who starts it. Sweat

Why Thank You so much dochira for your kind efforts. I really appreciate it. My friends and fellow fans or should I say sister fans will appreciate it also. Thank you for the translations website as well.

dochira you and bmwracer really know how to make a person feel welcome to this board. Both of you are truly kind, warm-hearted and so gracious. Thank you a million! Applaud

I will write Yukiyoshi Ozama and if I hear back from him I will let you know. Thanks again.

Hopefully they will show the Yoshitsune series that you are now watching in NY soon. Big Grin Thanx!

No problem. I know how difficult it is with no knowledge of Japanese. I've taken some classes so it's easier for me. I'm no where near fluent, but there are many other people here that are.

I'm surprised that Yoshitsune is not airing there in New York. If you have the money, you should look into TV Japan. But it is expensive to get.

Yoshitsune might be playing here in NY but the channels I get on Long Island are limited for Japanese programs. I will look into TV Japan. Thank you. I probably need to get a satellite dish instead of cable TV in order to get more channels.

Thanks again for all of your help dochira. I really appreciate that you took the time and the effort to go one step further to help me out. Smile

Good job to both bmwracer and dochira for all of your kindness in assisting me in my quest to write Yukiyoshi Ozawa. You were both very encouraging.

I assume his address is for Tokyo , Japan? Smile

Do itashimashite. (You're welcome).

Gambatte (Good luck).

Oh, and don't forget to start that thread. You never know who is also interested in Katsuragi. You might spark an interest now that Yoshitsune is in full force.

I love it! A Japanese lesson too!

Oh, do you mean start a thread in this board's Artist's section On Yukiyoshi? Maybe not today, but soon. Good suggestion. We are busy discusssing "Sakura" over at the Japan-Guide MB forum. Here is the link:

http://www.japan-guide.com/forum/quereadisplay.html?0+14512

I go by Aya in that thread. I did not want to use that name here because of the actress that you all seem to adore by the same name in this thread.

Also I did look up TV Japan in my area. It is not available in my county yet. It stops at the city limits. I have to write to my cable company. We need TV Japan out here!

Kyoshuku desu ( I am very grateful)

or

Otsukare-sama (Thank you for your help/work)

Can you tell that I keep a book called " Japanese for All Occasions" by my computer?

I'll check out that board, but I didn't see every episode. NHK asadoras (morning dramas) tend to have many episodes (156 for Sakura, I believe).
