The way I would handle this situation is I'd park my grill next to the beach/street and have Whale burgers Bleah

Maybe with fresh whale meat, but with a whale that's been rotting for days/weeks? Ugh.

Y'know... I was wondering, too, why they were transporting the dead whale. In Hawaii, we had a very similar situation where a dead whale appeared on one of our shores. However, instead of moving it somewhere else, the authorities dug a huge ditch about a 100 yards away from the actual location. They dumped the whale into the hole, then covered it up with tons of lye (I think it helps the decomposition process) and topped with with dirt.

Why couldn't the Taiwanese authorities do the same thing? *shrug*

That whale must've had a LOT of gas and constipation before it died. Only after it died, did it get it's "release". Unfortunately, it was so much, that the "fart" was too much and made it explode.

Very unusual. I've never heard about anything like this before.
Up to this point, I've only heard about the "beached" whales that Groink was talking about.

Is it possible they've never been in that situation before? Or possibly they were going to do something else with the carcass? Regardless, it's weird, wild stuff...
