Hi everyone. I am a new member here. I am currently in Singapore right now, had a long 18 hour flight back from LA. Yes you guessed it right, I managed to watch the MOVIE Sekai no chushin........ on the plane. My, was i touched by story. The actors and actresses did great in that movie !! So here I am in Singapore and called up Books Kinokuniya to see if they stocked the Novel version, which is the original story. Good news is that they do. However, I have yet another question, does anybody, hopefully, the Singaporeans out there can help me...does anybody know where can I buy the original soundtrack for the movie and also the movie here in Singapore? If not, I guess that I would have to order it online...Also, if anyone of you know where I can buy this movie ( i would prefer the one with chinese subtitles or no subtitles), please give me a PM or you guys can probably email me...
Thank you. Also, is Singapore always like this????Its been raining the whole two days!!!

Oh thanks alot! Btw, I managed to make a trip down to Kinokuniya and bought the novel. The novel is definitly very very good!!! However, the novel does not state aki and saku sharing their feelings through cassette tape though....
First of all, thanks for posting all these wonderful pics of this touching drama. I enjoyed it quite a lot...though it reminds me of Nicholas Sparks's "A Walk to Remember". Of course, Seka-chu is much better!
The main female lead...I really respect her for shaving all her hair. Woww...very impressive!!!
I have some questions:
1. In the end, did Aki's best girlfriend marry Saku's best guy-pal??? (The one she had a crush on since she was young.)
2. Regarding the novel, is it translated into English or Chinese?
3. Can anyone re-upload the mp3s of the OST??? Pretty please!

doinkies got the manga version of SekaChuu and it also doesn't have that...nor does it have the lovely scene in ep 1 where Sakutarou holds an umbrella over Aki's head while he is giving a speech at that teacher's funeral... *snif* It's still pretty good, though.

Well, from looking at YesAsia's site, I know there's a Chinese translation of the manga available. I don't know about the novel, though, but doinkies is betting that got translated into Chinese, too. There aren't any translations of the novel or manga in English yet, though...perhaps some brave doink could try and translate the novel? Although translating novels is hard...perhaps the manga might be easier, since it has pictures...

tq yt...
i've been searchin' for the ost like crazy in the net...
although i prefer mp3 rather than wma bcuz of the quality...
anyway, thanx again...
if u listen to it in the middle of the night with all the lights off, it will sound like a haunted songs but when u recall the story, suddenly u can feel how cruel the story n remembering aki's face is the saddest part of it...
congrats to ayase for her amazing performance...

welcome yon, seeing their performance and the music just melts into your souls The music was so good, I think I've heard it used in other TV programs! The ones that try to get your tear jerking!
And yes Haruka did shave her hair. They never really deny/admit it even on the Sekai official website when the bbs was bombarded with queries whether she was wearing a bald cap (refer http://members.tripod.com/~llwyd/demos/baldcap.htm) but it's obvious if you compare her previous pics....
before
after
her pony tail is just too long to be her natural hair...

yeah, i really hope that tv channels from my country, malaysia can create a program or documentary regarding to the recent tsunami disaster and put the Sekai no chushin... ost as the background music. before this, they had one program but the background music is the ost from the korean drama. i don't remember the title of that drama bcuz i'm not into the korean drama as much as i did on jdorama. to be honest , i've watch only 2 korean dramas which are my love patzzi n the successful story of bright girl. yes, i watched it bcuz of jang nara. i don't know why i still not watching winter sonata.
back to haruka, yes, i know that she's made publics apperances wearing hats all of the time even at the JAPANESE ANNUAL TELEVISION ACADEMY AWARDS where she received the best actress award n Sekai no chushin... took almost a clean swept at the ceremony. but my question is, is she wearin' a wig?
Hey yon, I noticed most of Ayase Haruka wigs that she wears look quite fake, that is, they are very thick in the lengths and flat near the skull. Natural hair is the opposite. No wonder she wears hats. It helps even out the lack of body in the root area. Any time she isn't wearing a hat, she ties it back to make it less obvious.
Oh my! This story is sooooo sad despite watching only 2 episodes when I recently downloaded them... Hopefully this series will be completely subbed. Can't wait for the next epi...
