mickeygirl, there's nothing to be jealous of a person who lives in LA. LOL, you win some you lose some. Japanese things here are often overpriced... unless they go through a Taiwanese chain store.
Ne. I want to visit Taiwan as well. I've never been to Taiwan, and the things they sell over there are so cute! Besides, it seems to me that a lot of the Taiwanese can speak Japanese quite well. Just look at Vivian Hsu. How she learned it I'm quite curious.

AIUEO is still being broadcasted?!?!! I dint know about that. I thought TVBS had cancelled the show a few months back and it is being replaced by some chinese entertainment show . If it is still being shown on tv, when and what time is AIUEO being broadcasted? And Johnny's Power is also on the same channel as AIUEO?
"AIUEO" is shown on TVBS-asia (channel 54) ..
every sunday 5.30pm ..
repeat (1.30am) ..
monday repeat (10am)
^ "AIUEO" has been cut short from 1hr to 30 mins ..
as for "Johnny's Power" .. it was shown on AZIO-asia channel (channel 49) .. but as for now .. they stopped showing .. but they said they'll be back with a new image of the programme soon ~

I guess they learn Japanese pretty fast cos they learn traditional chinese and it is the same as japanese kanji. The rest of the Chinese learn simplified Mandarin..following what China learns (like singapore). But simplified chinese is sure much easier than traditional chinese. I can't imagine myself learning traditional chinese when I am already having problems coping with simplified Chinese! Call myself a Chinese! ah well English is better off for me. Hmm, but when it comes for the japanese to learn chinese, it seems to be an uphill task eh? haha
@enen: I see I see, thanks for the info. I used to catch the show to saturday night and I found it weird that they suddenly stopped broadcasting the show so I thought they cancelled the entire show. Glad it is still being shown here. _________________

It is definitely easier for Japanese to understand Chinese, but pronouncing the words may be a problem. Japanese and Chinese are so different. But yeah, I started out learning simplified Chinese, but then I've been overexposed to traditional Chinese so I understand both equally... the trick is manga, lots and lots of manga.

I agree. I get exposed to traditional chinese through mangas and chinese subbed japanese shows. Simplified chinese and traditional chinese look rather similar, though traditional chinese has more strokes (thus you have to write even more! ) They are both chinese anyway, so fortunately there's no need to learn traditional chinese in order to know what they mean. _________________

Japanese is absolutely different though. Something about the object goes first and then the verbals and then the subject... argh, so complicated from english, just subject verbal object. Just to stay on topic, I guess to Jin, the idea of svb is ludacris.

I am taking basic Japanese as an elective now...
Hmm think it's quite difficult to learn a new language coz the way they speak is so different like we say "do you want to eat ?" in Japanese it will be something like " eat, you want?"

The japanese are connoisseur of designer labels... check out that gucci hat...
anyway i think kame looks great with that handbag!! he can pull it of... (opinion of a fashion student) ok so not all men can do it... but very pretty and fashionable men can (or just extremely camp men)... seen tackey with a lovely white handbag... he look great with that.....
trad chinese is way prettier than simp...(bias learnt trad chin)
but i'm glad theres so much chinese fans... because some thing just dont get subbed into english.. eg Anego (at the mo)...i would of been able to enjoy it as much if i had watched that raw......altho i'm there with the pause button every so often... i'm such a slow reader.. well least i know what they are half saying... difficult words and out comes the dictionary....much prefer if it was eng sub...
so this getting to be quite fast moving thread... come on gotta beat news...haha... you know what once kat-tun debuts... theres gonna way more fans.... i'll be there to buy the cd..(so want mp3s with better quality)
anyone else seen kat-tunx3 yet? so funny... i want my hair washed and styled by the guys...

Isn't it difficult to enter Waseda University? He must be good in order to enter. Btw, I think NUS has links with Waseda though I am not very sure of it. I think I read that in the newspapers. _________________
