The Raiders and Niners will suck this year.

I'm a Cal fan too. Smile With Tedford at the helm, it'll be a great year... possibly the best year since Russell White led the team to the Citrus Bowl. Of course, we still lost to Stanford that year. Cry

Go Bears!

Heh, I've still got some old, old footage of Cal's miracle finish against Stanford a ways back... I'll have to make an mpg of that for you guys... Big Grin

It will be a long year for us 49er fans. bleh (A long year for the 49ers QB's too) Of course we all expected that from the start. The Raiders played even worse than the 49ers that was an awful game.

I managed to draft Portis, Alexander, and Curtis Martin in my draft for my Fantasy league so I was very happy with them. w00t!

Elton,

In the best of all possible worlds, I'd put my money on Cedric Wilson.

He's not a game breaker like a Rice or a Moss. But he's fast, he catches everything thrown his way, and he's a fighter.

But I'd hold off on starting him until I see how the offensive line develops.

If the o-Line continues to play as badly as they did yesterday, it won't be long before you're talking about Cedric as a QB (he played QB at Tenn.), or maybe Battle as our option QB (he was an option QB at N.D.)

If if if if if if if... the line gets it's mud together, I expect Lloyd to get a lot of highlights on ESPN. But I expect Wilson to put up the most consistent numbers.

Thanks for the scouting report Big Grin Right now I can start 3 wide outs and last week I started Moulds, Porter, and Glenn. I like to switch it up every weeks so I can make sure my WR gets TDs so Glenn got one and I'm going to bench him. Still trying to decide whether to start Wilson, Gardner, or Morton. That and I have to pick a QB out of Vick and Favre, lol

Hmmm. Unsolicited advice:

Boy, if Favre survives tonight's game vs the Panthers, I'd sure go with Favre next week. He'll be playing the Bears.

Vick will be facing the Rams.

As for Wilson vs Morton. Right now Wilson is the prime target in the Niner offense.

Morton is close to being a forgotten man --- as are most of the WRs -- for K.C. right now.

Yea I'm seriously leaning toward Favre. Especially now that he's healthy but I want to watch him tonight and see if I see something really wrong with him, else he gets the nod. Nice to have 2 pro bowl QBs on my team Big Grin My friend is still wondering how I got those 2 hehe

And yea, KC is just a one man team. PRIEST! hehe hehe

Yup, although in this situation I have to root for the padres. I still think the Giants have a shot at the division. Who's going for both teams btw?

Depends if the Dodgers do the El Foldo.... I wouldn't be surprised actually (the Mike Piazza curse)...

Uh oh: 5-1 Padres in the 5th. Sweat

Edit: Make that 6-3....

The Dodgers are holding up, they'll take the NL West. Don't worry, the Piazza curse doesn't even qualify, in comparison to the:

1. Curse of the Bambino (Boston Red Sox)
2. Billy Goat Curse (Chicago Cubs)
3. Black Sox Curse (Chicago White Sox)

Play ball!

Well the Piazza curse is early in the game.... Only time will tell.

The Blue Crew's pitching gets hammered again, 9-7, by the Padres last night... Sad

When did the Dodgers join the NFL?

This could be the reason you southern California people don't have a team.

You don't know which sport is which!

You're right Elton.

Just as soon as Mickey Mantle comes back from the dead and starts playing again, we should start a MLB thread.

But until that happens...

The era of the Ken Dorsey Niners begins this Sunday!

Rattay has a second degree shoulder seperation and though he's saying that he wants to start (a wise move considering he's on the road to becoming the next Wally Pip) Erickson doesn't sound convinced. So as of now, Dorsey is scheduled to get his first NFL start on Sunday vs. the Saints.

Cool deal! He better throw some TD passes Cedrick Wilson's way because I'm going to give him the nod this weekend hehe
