The bowl season is a great time of year if you're a college football fan. While I wish there was a play-off system at the division 1-A level, the bowl games annually offer their share of marvelous football games. Yesterday's plate of contests were highly entertaining. The Georgia Tech-West Virginia game featured a ton of scoring provided by two disparate types of offenses. The Arkansas-Wisconsin game also showcased two teams with contrasting styles which usually makes for an interesting game. In the Rose Bowl, USC demonstrated what a difference coaching can make; Michigan had really good talent comparable to the Trojans, but were thoroughly outschemed. The topper, of course, was the Boise State-Oklahoma game. It truly was one of the greatest collegiate football games ever. Huge kudos to the Boise State players and coaches who never gave up and won a game that nobody outside of themselves and their fans thought they had any chance of winning. Brilliant playcalling and flawless execution by the Broncos offense after falling behind at the end of the game.

I've given up on making New Year's resolutions like, I'll quit smoking, I'll quit drinking, I'll go on a diet and get in shape.

I tried something simpler this year. I resolved to do something other, anything other than sitting in my chair all day long and watching the New Year's Day bowls.

So I stretched out on the sofa and watched Penn St. rough up Tenn. And that went so well I just stayed there for the rest of the day to watch that amazing Boise St. game, and the evil USC game, and the...

As New Year's resolutions go... this was pretty successful. I got to see some amazing football, and didn't get that crick in my back.

is that game still playing now?

I'm getting ready for the Seahawks V. Cowboys game in an hour. This is gonna be good for the end of the regular season. Looks like the Hawks have home field advantage but they've been off their game for a while. Hope to see what happens!

Colts win, 23-8.

The "porous" Colt run defense holds Pro Bowl RB Larry Johnson to 32 yards. Thumbsup

Next for the Colts: the Ravens in Baltimore next weekend. Sweat

Tony Romo fumbles the snap on the winning field goal kick and the Seahawks win, 21-20.

Having the Plowboys lose makes it such a wonderful day of Pro football. Victory! Peace! w00t!

that has got to be the best football game i've ever watched, hands down. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Literally! I totally thought the seahawks were gonna get it. But it was a miracle~! That messed up snap has got be one of the rarest things in the NFL especially with Romo's new record.

Who were you rootin for BMW?

I HATE the Cowboys. Never ever liked them.

Any team that proclaims themselves as "America's Team" deserves to lose as often as possible.

The Dallas - Seahawks game was amazing.

The Philly - Giants game was amazing.

Could not have asked for a better weekend of football.

lol not sure if you were being sarcastic or not lol i dont really know much about the cowboys except they got that young buck romo on their team.

Now the big question is, will the seahawks get mauled against the bears? I think they might after their previous defeat but there's still hope =) The bears seemed kinda arrogant though talking about demolishing the seahawks personally.. Shake Head

No sarcasm at all.

The Plowboys are scum.

I'm sure the Bears are heavily favored, but I'm rooting for the Seahawks... The coaching staff of the Bears are too dumb to see that Rex Gross-man is a crapass QB and for that mortal sin, they deserve to lose and get eliminated from the playoffs.
