It depends on which section you go, there are different mods for different section. I am a mod, yes. but i can ONLY get access to do "mod duties" in sections "Buy, Sell, or Trade" and "seggestions, feedback...". For instance kouseya and I would have no access to the "general" section.
Usually, when/if threads are locked, I'd say we are doing a fairly good job of announcing why we lock it. Be it a double thread/multiple posts, spam, etc.
I know it's good top vend out once in a while, but if you feel that a thread is unjustly lock, try pm'ing the sections' mod and see what happened and try to change his/her mind. _________________

That sentence is great! -- sorry I needed that.
But still I know what you mean, I tend to stay away from the gung-ho moderators.
They know who they are...

I'm sorry to hear that members feel that way.
But rest assured, we DO NOT lock topics based on who the creator is. We do not play favorites at all.
I beleive that the locking was just. We are supposed to explain why we locked a particular thread. We lock a lot because we try to consolidate the topic(s) to one thread rather than 3 or 4. Easier for all the users to keep track of, and plus similar topics won't flood the first pages of the forum.
I admit that I locked a thread once because I thought it was a duplicate thread. It was a computer question, (and since I'm not so computer literate) I locked it. But a PM from a member explaining to me the difference of the two helped to clear things up. So I unlocked it, with apologies, of course.
Please PM the moderator(s) or the administrator if you feel a thread was unjustly locked, or if you have any questions and/or concerns. Don't worry, we aren't dictators here. We will listen to what you have to say, and we'll try to find the best resolution. _________________

i am the moderator in this section.. i'm sorry you feel that way, but i DO NOT lock threads because of the person who started it.. i'm sorry if your threads tend to always get locked, but when i saw the topic of your thread, i thought it would be a much better solution if you could ask in their official threads where you might get the answers even quicker as fans tend to visit their favourite artistes' thread more often..
our policy here is to lock threads when we feel that it is a duplicate, and i think that was what i did.. i did mention that asking in their official thread will give you the response you wanted.. i am also a fan, of Arashi, in fact, and i know you are not a hysterical person whatsoever, and to emphasise it again, i DO NOT lock threads just because YOU started it.. i lock threads because i feel it is a repeat. just like what aho said, we lock threads and try to bring everything of a particular topic into one main one so it makes it easier for future users to search for particular artistes..
i'm sorry if you feel that i'm against you, but i'm not.. i don't even know you personally and there's no point in me trying to create a fight over the internet.. i hope you can understand wham trying to say here..

Dear helene...they were right. I help them out too sometime by reporting any new thread that has already exist. You should read the regulation on how to post. if the topic has already been created the mod will lock it. So basically, they will lock with a basis not just randomly doing it.
Please don't fire up. I know you are not a Fucking groupie or a hysterical person. However please understand, the mods do not want any double thread so that's why the locked it.
Now..take a glass of water and cool yourself. Again..no one is against you. So If you don't want that to happen again, read the rules ok?

Hmm, I can't think of any off hand.
If anything, the mods haven't asserted themselves enough on some threads and have let things escalate...

About the addresses, If I asked you here, it is because I have searched on the internet ( official sites included ) and I didn't find what I am looking for .
Another question : why can't we send presents to the Japanese artists ? |
Best thing is to use the search feature above. I'm a bit skeptical to how it works though, since I don't do much searching myself
No idea why we can't send presents to j-artist. I'm sure most artist like to keep a private life and not give out contact info and stuff like that.

As eltinator said, you could always use the search function.
And even if your thread is a repeat thread, a link to the appropriate thread should be provided by the mod(s) at the time of locking, so at least you'll know where to post your question.

Would you care to tell me via PM who you think the "gung-ho" moderators are? Perhaps we can settle any misconceptions. _________________
