I watched it. It was a great movie. Very emotional. Probably the best movie I have since in a while.

I liked this one better than Grave of the Fireflies. Whereas that one covered young children in the war, this one covered that much war and was more emotional for me.

I'd love to get my hands on a copy of this, whatever codec it may be encoded into. Does anyone wanna help me find?

^sure while i'm at it.. why don't i just buy u a ticket to the moon!... ever been to the moon? i hear there's a lost kingdom in there.....
[GOD's voice]idiot aho [/GOD's voice]...JKJKJK Sweat

on a side note: after watching it, i feel like the story is too cliche.. and has been done (possibly even better) by other dramas...(typical illness, "gonna die/gonna go blind by the time we fall in love" story) ...still that beign said i still have very high hopes and still belive in its potential... i feel strongly that the story will improve as time goes by (i'm personaly hoping for a cameo by a A) monkey B)koala or C) penguin..cuz i lurve them animals^^) anyway.. NEXT SUN @7:30 WATCH IT!!!!

Well that answers that.

I was wondering why Kanno Miho (looking like 10 million bucks) was in the audience of "Hey Hey Hey" last week.

She and two other actors were there to support the male lead of their show while he sang his song.

I have to tell you, it was wierd seeing her come out, introduce herself, bow, and then just go over and take a seat in the audience to watch this guy sing.

Amazing how many questions one well placed link can answer.

Elton,

She is amazing, isn't she?

But sometimes I worry that they're polishing her up a bit too much.

She was so Hollywood slicked up on Hey Hey Hey that it took me a minute to recognize her.

Yea, I like her w/o all that make-up. She's such a natural beauty ya know. Like in Koi Ga Shitai, she looked so pretty in that!

Remember how Shuka Hasui had reddish hair and normal Ririka Tono had jet-black hair in Ai wo Kudasai? It sure made a difference

Elton,

I loved Miho in Koi Ga Shita.

But I first fell in love with her when she was playing the Sylvia Plath type character in "Churasan".

I don't mind if she wants to be a galmour gurl. She looked amazing in "Ooku: The Inner Palace".

But when they've got her so highly powdered and polished that it takes me a minute to even realise that it's her... then I start to get annoyed.

From Creidesca's Asian drama link:

*ATTN*: KSCI-TV has a poll asking viewers which type of drama (chinese, korean, or japanese) we'd like to see w/ eng subs. Visit http://www.kscitv.com to respond. The poll is located on the right hand side towards the middle to bottom of the page.

I wish they'd ask what actual shows we'd like to see subbed and broadcast... Sad

Ok, submitted my vote ... but I wouldn't expect too much. I emailed the program director about 3 months ago suggeting that they update their programming website to let us know when a new Japanese program series is about to start and, well, the response I got from her was essentially that the station doesn't know. Sort of had a hard time believing that. But to give her (don't remember the program director's name, though I do remember that it wasn't Asian - something like Mary Douglas) the benefit of the doubt, I asked if perhaps they didn't program at least several weeks ahead and she nevered bothered to reply back.
I guess we'll see ...
