Hana chose her husband, of course. It was by chance that Kimura was there visiting. She hadnt seen either one of the men in a year and would have no idea that he was there. She had finally made her decision to go back to her husband.
The wonderful part was that all she had wanted was for all three of them to be friends together and in the end that was what was going to happen. It was implied that the men would be partners in business building " houses that made people happy" and leave the rat race behind them. Kimura adored her but just wanted to see her happy. Sex did not seem of great importance to them.

My favorite was "Keizoku" --- but that's mostly because I've got a bizarre sense of humor.
I don't like spoilers, so all I'll say is;
To really appreciate the ending of "Keizoku", you have to watch the follow up TV special.
And to appreciate the ending of the TV Special, you have to watch the ""Keizoku" movie ( "Beautiful Dreamer") released in theaters.
Yukihiko Tsutsumi , the writer, director, is nuts. And I've loved everything I've seen of his. (He's also the guy behind the series "Trick" and the movie, "2LDK" and many many others.) _________________ Manga is to Literature

I have seen this series: it's excellent, and Miki Nakatani is great in it. I wonder why it isn't as popular or well-known as other series (at least abroad; in a 2001 Japanese survey, it was voted ninth best drama of all time). The frustrating thing though, is I haven't been able to get an English subtitled version of the TV special or the movie, so I'm left hanging.
