Preliminary reports say that Yankees pitcher, Cory Lidle, was the pilot of the plane that struck New York earlier today.

Yes the news is very sad! He had also played for the NY Mets.

Cory Fulton Lidle (March 22, 1972 – October 11, 2006) was an American right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played for seven different teams in his nine-season career, last playing for the New York Yankees. Only four days after the team's 2006 season ended, the 34-year-old Lidle was killed when the personal aircraft he was piloting crashed into a residential building in New York City.

May he Rest In Peace.

Tigers beat A's 3-0, go up 3-0 in series. Applaud The only reason I'm leaning towards the Tigers is because I couldn't bear to watch that obnoxious jerk Milton Bradley in the world series. bleh

I always like to see Japanese players do well, but that damn Taguchi picked one hell of a time to do his Barry Bonds imitation, 3 at bats, 2 home runs and a double Shocked

The weather here should be clear for tonight's game #7 between the Mets and the Cards. They were predicting showers but now they are saying that the rain should start after the game is over. Victory! Peace!

Yeah, as much as I don't like the American League, Tony LaRussa suffers from "Bill Walsh disease" - "Yes, I'm a genius, if you don't think so, just ask me" - so I'm going with the Tigers too.

OK bmw and gaijin mark we know which team you want to win, now who is everyone else rooting for in this World Series?
