Remarkable. This is a baseball FIRST.

That shoe made for Schilling must have been made of stone.

"That was God's work," says Curt.

Wow, that play where A-Rod whacked the ball outta the glove...

What was he THINKING OF?! Does he think this is football or something?

If say the Red Sox do come back to win game 7, wow this would be like ultimate revenge for what Boone did to them last ALCS.

It would be a historic achievement on several levels...

Woah, Schilling is also giving the god line to Peter Gammons on ESPN, after being asked how he felt warming up in the bullpen.

You know... God shoulda told Curt to shut his trap before Game One. I guess his first start of the series was also a divine act.

I had no idea Schilling was so religious... Or was he doing a Kurt Warner imitation....?

You can turn the tables on us tonight if the Yanks win.... Big Grin

Even General Patton would have been proud of Curt Schilling's effort last night...

The gutsiest pitching peformance I've seen since Schilling & Randy Johnson's performance in Game 7 of the World Series against the Yankees.

Yep. I'd put it up there with gimpy Kirk Gibson's home run against Eck in '88... Smile

I'm not absent, but there hasn't been much to respond to. There's hasn't been very much ribbing...

I was definitely surprised at Curt Schilling's performance last night. Having said that, I wonder if they overstated his injury before, since based on what they reported before, I don't see how he could have pitched last night.

I definitely think the Yankees have opened the door for the Red Sox...but it's still the Yank's to lose. Either way...with 5 games in a row and no rest...both teams have got to be tired. That advantage has to go to the Red Sox in that regard (aside from pitching) since they certainly have "the momentum".

I guess we'll find out tonight whether they can do "the impossible" and pull off a 3-0 come from behind upset. Personally, I'm just mentally tired from watching all the games. I need a break to do other stuff. Good thing it ends tonight regardless. I need a break!!

In regards to the A-rod incident, I agree that his swiping the ball was not allowed. However, it did appear as though the first baseman was kind of blocking the basepath which is also not allowed. Doing so, may have slowed A-rod down to some extent. Though we'll never know.

I also don't understand why Jeter had to go back to first. Had A-rod simply been out, as the Red Sox successfully argued he should be, Jeter would have still been safely at second. Now maybe that's his "punishment" for slapping the ball...but I haven't seen that issue addressed anywhere. In fact, the TV announcers never mentioned that either when they were talking about "what did he have to lose?" by trying to knock the ball out, since he would have been out anyways.

Total agreement. The last three games have been exhausting. And we're just the spectators...!

Wow, what a battle. Don't tell me there's going to be two Game 7s!!

Edit: Just checked Yahoo Sports (no TV at work). Jim Edmonds walk-off HR. There will be a Game 7 in the NLCS. Excellent LCSes.
