Gack. bleh

Did you watch the show?

Man, those two weird guys that were joined at the hip irritated me: they kept mugging for the camera like those fools at sports events...

This sounds like an interesting show. The last competition cooking show that drew my attention was Iron Chef (the original Japanese version, not the William Shatner and Alton Brown remakes). I'm curious as to how this show compares with Iron Chef in terms of entertainment.

I think this show is a lot more fun and humorous than Iron Chef... What's fascinating about this show is the little side stories about how dedicated some of the food suppliers are to producing the absolute best product (daikon, shar siu, sweet potato, etc.)... Big Grin

Today's food competitors:

Miso tsuke men (misso-dipped noodles) vs. Bibinmen (spicy kimchi-miso noodles)

Additional kooky features to the show: a transvestite actor (?) and two obnoxious, camera-mugging comedians (?)...

Crazy stuff. hehe

Did you watch the show?

It wasn't as easy as you think: it started 1-6 in favor of the chicken, then 3-4, still in favor of the chicken... I was really surprised to see it shift to the final result of 5-2, in favor of the ribs...
