Cooliris is much improved...

If you've got a huge photobucket database, this makes it so, so much easier to see and use your pics...it's a godsend...

Noticed a glitch in FF3: When I'm doing a direct download of a file, typically a large one (>50MB), the download times out after a while and I have to Pause, then Resume the download... And the larger the file, the more times I have to Pause and Resume...

Any ideas why this is happening? Sweat

That's weird I've have been using FF3 for a while and I haven't had that problem. I'm constantly downloading large files, i.e. J-drama eps.

I haven't had this problem either. Why do you think it's because of FF3 and not the file host?

It could be Megaupload... But I didn't see this problem with FF2. Sweat

EDIT: I get the same problem with IE. Sweat Sweat

And the problem shows up for both of my PCs...

Uh oh.

Still haven't figured out the problem, but it's not localized to Firefox... Maybe my ISP...? Head Scratch

I installed a download manager (Free Download Manager) and it's helped quite a bit: if the download stalls or times out, the program restarts the download from the point it stopped, not from the beginning... Victory! Peace!

Anyone try out Firefox 3.5 yet?

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/features/

I'm tempted.

I have. The only issue I have: with my setup links open up in a new tab when I click them. However, with 3.5 I click a link and it does open up in a new tab, but when I click on the tab it turns into a new window, kinda like a popup. I have no clue why it does that.

Hmm.

Did you have a previous tab add-on running like Tab Mix Plus?

I'm using it. There is a vulnerability in 3.5 so make sure you update.
I like it, it's faster.

I don't have that tab problem though, you can choose in options regarding that, I think?

It's been out less than a month and already a vulnerability? Sweat

I'm using 3.5.1 (after updating) now and I like it. I find it faster compared to its predecessor. Pages seem to load slightly faster. Smile

Having run Firefox for a while now, with auto-updates, I can't see what's the big deal people make of it. It's a memory and resource hog, buggy, and constantly bogs down the same as Internet Explorer. The only reason I can see using it over IE is just so you can say you're not using a Microsoft product.

I like FF 'cause it way more customizable with the themes and add-ons... Victory! Peace!

Nowadays, what program isn't a memory resource hog?

Can't access the internet running DOS 5.0... Bleah

How many of these kids even know what DOS is, much less how to use it? hehe I see your point about customizing; I only use a web browser for browsing, like I only use a cell phone for calls. Silly me. Beaten It's just that I've heard the argument before that FF was superior to IE because it was more stable, faster, etc. and my experience says that simply isn't true.

Hmm, seems that 3.5 appears to be a little faster running, but like the previous upgrade from 2.X to 3.X, some of the Add-Ons don't work anymore, like Tab Mix Plus and the Orbit theme... Grumble
