Speaking of the Clippers, looks like they are back on track by winning against the Trail Blazers 100-94.

As for the Lakers, well, without Kobe suiting up for the game, I guess it's already expected that they will lose to the Jazz Sweat . But they sure gave the Jazz a hard time before giving up that game Mr Green

that's good for the clips, but they need to start winning at home, and build on a winning streak.

Maybe it is good for the lakers not to have kobe for those two games, so the other teammates can gel together and not depend on him so much, i think it might help a little, but we shall see the way they play in the coming games, weeks without and with Kobe in the lineup.

Lakers shoot 50% and have five guys in double figues, but lose, 98-94, to the Jazz.

Closer than I thought, but still a loss. Puppy Dog Eyes

despite the loss, that is a good sign that more guys contributed and shoot a good/decent shooting percentage. but next time they need to somehow pull out with some wins.

Yeah, sometimes it's good that a star player miss a game or 2 so that the other players will step up their game. I just hope that they will keep this up when Kobe comes back Fingers crossed .

sometimes i wonder how much Phil Jackson is improving the team compared to last year, i see the small changes, i guess it will take a lot of time, and not a single year is going to make a whole lot of diff. He will have to step up to the critics, and media.....atleast they have Kobe, but other than that, i see this time lacks depth and other talent, besides Kobe. Hopefully they can gel together and start winning consistantly and improve their overall game, esp. defense.

Clips, not much i can say about them, except they desperately miss Maguette, the small forward spot is lacking, also due to Quentin Ross' absense too. Bonk

That says it all.

Hope Kobe realizes that he most likely cost the team two wins.

was wasting time watching the second half, when the Lakers offense became invisible along with their defense. This game today, they could have one with Kobe, but without, they are a royally crappy team that is heading to the lottery...

with Kobe, they are a decent team, that can win some more...
yeah, he costed them 2 possible wins. Clippers aren't much better, maybe they can gain some on the lakers.

Odom the only Laker in double figures Shake Head Maybe James Worthy should put down his microphone and show them how it's done.

what a joke...
mihm, kawame, smush, forgot some of the others...but they should trade them, keep odom and kobe, and build around them...easier said than done, this team lacks depth, and talent, besides kobe, and sometimes odom.

The Nets scores a victory against the Magic 113-106 Victory! Peace! . The win gave the Nets a 9 game winning streak and tied the longest streak of the season by the Pistons Mr Green . They can surpass that streak when they face the Pacers on jan 16, but it will be a tough game for sure Sweat .

of the three California teams, Clips and the Warriors are struggling, while the lakers are doing not as bad, ....hopefully they can pull this one out. Bonk, i think of the three teams, the lakers will probably do the best, since they have Kobe.

Lakers serve up some whoopass to the Sixers, 119-93. Thumbsup

Kobe goes 19-29, and 7-7 in three-pointers, for 48 points... Parker scores 24.

I don't expect them to repeat that tonight against the Clips.

I just hope they haven't shot their wad and come out flat against the Clips... Only three guys scored in double figures. bleh

i would be surprised if the Clips can win tonight, they way they have been struggling, it has been pathetic, besides, the clips have no go-to-guy like Lakers have with Kobe.

Brand and Cassell are their go-to guys, I think. Maybe even Mobley.

Lakes only have Kobe. Sweat
