^^ Mild upset by the Hawks winning, Orlando had swept them the previous 2 years, looking at the box score what an ugly game, 2 unoffensive teams showed why they are that way. _________________

Lakers eliminate New Orleans, 98-90. A solid all around game for the Lakers, who are now 11-1 over the last 4 playoff seasons in series-clinching games. _________________

Like in the previous game, the Lakers' bigs took care of the boards for a 43-30 advantage.
What was disconcerting (as always) was that the second unit played poorly (as usual) and Phil had to send the starters in to secure the win.

I don't think the second unit played that poorly. The Lakers were up by 12 to begin the 4th when they were sent in and managed to increase the lead up to 20. The lead went down only when they took Bynum out of the game. _________________

Well, they weren't doing something right, 'cause Phil yanked them all out of the game...

Not as much suspense in the opening round as the NHL had where 4 series went 7 games and 2 of them were decided in OT, last chance for a 7th game is tonight when the Spurs travel to Memphis trying to save their season after game 5's miracle comeback. _________________

^^ No, didn't affect them at all, figured the Spurs experience would have taken advantage of it but they didn't, even though they won 2 games seems as though the Grizzlies outplayed them in every game. Duncan didn't have a good series, Randolph really put it to him, Duncan's 35 now, wonder how many years he has left or the core of the team for that matter too? _________________

Randolph was an ex-Clipper... I guess it took getting out from Donald Sterling's clutches really helped his game.

^^ Yeah, Wade had his way in this one, not a good matchup for Allen guarding him, Pierce guarding James is a bad matchup for the Celts too. _________________
