Whew, they look mighty delish...
I'd better get something to eat, though it won't be as nice as those sausages...

not that i have them at the moment but they do sell at least two brands of breakfast link sized kurobuta sausages at Mitsuwa....whenever you go there next time to shop for groceries....check it out....the tray or package is very small too....so it's not too bad for ya...

So desu.
Gotta check those out. *cholesterol level gets pegged*
a package might contain about 6 or so if i'm not mistaken....of course they aren't the healthiest things to eat but in moderation you should be cool...it's not like eating a big ol' pizza or a hunk o' prime rib.
British sausages suck...different texture to the meat...could never get used to the taste.
I'm missing some good ol' American link sausages at the moment (the breakfast links with tons of oil...). I miss the local Hawaiian Portuguese sausages too...lots of fat, spices and dripping oil...

british bacon sucks too.....one time i was staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Hyde Park, London and I ordered eggs & bacon for breakfast....bleh.....bacon was honto ni mazui.......it looked like a leathery wing that they just snipped off a bat.
nothing beats a good quality applewood smoked bacon
the japanese sausages i mentioned are very much in the same vein as the ones you mentioned but better tasting and a little less greasy
when i stayed at the Grand Hyatt Roppongi Hills in Tokyo I had breakfast at one the hotel's restaurant....it was a breakfast extravaganza.
Eggs Benedict Florentine Style
Japanese Kurobuta Sausage
Bacon
Country Ham
Potatoes
a Tomato with Pesto
...suffice it to say...i didn't eat lunch! it was sugoku oishii.

Yeah, they call them "rashers" here. It's impossible to have a good fry-up with rashers because there's almost no fat...when you fry it, you end up with a pan full of liquid, not fat.
I've never had applewood smoked bacon but it sounds good.
I miss those days when I could just go to MacDonalds and order a portuguese sausage, eggs and rice breakfast. Not that it's a good thing to eat every week, but once in a while as a treat was really nice.

looks tasty! yeah there are a couple of hawaiian places here that come to mind...such as L&L Hawaiian BBQ among others...your discussion reminds me of another Hawaiian dish.....Loco Moco!

Actually, I was gonna wrap a slice of pizza around one of those sausages and have it as an appetizer while my chunk of prime rib was cooking.
