dolphin meat is metallic to eat. i loves me some mercury....

Despite dangerous levels of contamination, dolphin meat is still being sold in Japan to an unsuspecting public. In November 2004, the Elsa Nature Conservancy (http://enjoy.pial.jp/~animals/elsa/) acquired a sample of bottlenose dolphin meat from the drive fishery in Futo. The meat samples were tested by the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Test results found that the meat contained dangerously elevated levels of mercury, 48 times higher than current maximum levels set by Japan's Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry

That's the most unappetizing I have evah seen. bleh Thanks for the info! I was a bit shocked that dolphin was being sold mah self.

Random question: Does alot of japanese food contain large amounts of sodium and/or sugars? If so I'd die there in like less than a day... ashamed

I'm not sure that I would fancy eating something that is more intelligent then the U.S. president.

Wait, that's just about everything. Not such a good idea.

Yeah. It wasn't so good after all. One piece tasted funky. Not so sure if it was questionable freshness or jellyfish sushi, but it felt slimy too.

I'm not feeling so good. I hope it's only psychological... bleh

hehe

I try to eat some no more than once a week. They use to make all their bentou around 4:30 or 5pm, but it's the first time I've eaten crap. I'm not going there anymore. For some reason, the sushi in all the places with women only staff, is always better. Confused And they're not cheap on the toro.

It was cold and didn't want to walk for 10 minutes to get my fix. Bang Head

even in this polluted world we live in...i think eating it once or twice a week is fine....you'll get the overwhelming benefits of fish consumption
(i.e. Omega 3 Fatty Acids) without overdoing it on the heavy metal action
Research recently revealed that fish consumption cuts the risk of colon cancer in men.

yeah i haven't lived in a really cold weather climate in 6 years....i remember having to really think about getting certain things if it entailed braving the weather on foot.

Interesting. I didn't know you could buy this stuff.

Apparently bought in a Japanese Costco.
