Nantsuttei Tonkotsu Mayu Ramen @ Umaimono Mitsuwa Fair, Torrance.
The ramen soup is a rich, creamy tonkotsu (pork bone) soup. Floating on the surface of the soup is the fragrant black ma-yu (roast garlic oil), a flavor that has not changed since the restaurant first opened. This black ma-yu is an iconic component of the Nantsuttei flavor created by frying garlic over seven phases and mixing it into a balanced blend for an exquisite harmony of flavors. The soup, noodles, toppings and the black ma-yu come together in the bowl to create a perfectly balanced and delicious ramen.
It was a 50 minute wait. But the broth was delicious.

I was boneheaded to go during peak lunch time though...but they had a sign that said the wait was 30 minutes, but it turned out to be 50 minutes for me.
At least was it good.
I used to love Pizza Hut as a kid. But a few months ago, I had it at a friend's, for the first time in some years and it just wasn't good to say the least; especially that stuffed crust pizza.

It's generic, man. You've grown up, you have more sophisticated tastes. It's understandable

All those gimmicks like stuffed crusts and whatnot are lame: obviously they can't make a decent regular pizza that people will want to buy.

Sounds good!! The broth is the most important for me then the noodles. If the broth is bad it's not worth eating. Is that Umaimono fair going on thru the weekend?

I went today and thoroughly enjoyed the ramen. And like you mentioned earlier the broth was delicious. They were also making/selling the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki which I bought also and it was very good, too. Thanks for posting about the fair!

Nice. I'm glad you enjoyed it There really is nothing like that tonkotsu mayu ramen offered here in L.A., as far as I know. So it was a rare opportunity to try a style of ramen that hasn't made it to our shores yet. Oh yeah I saw that okonomiyaki booth as well, but I was fixated on the ramen!
Good to hear you enjoyed the food.

You could tell that the broth was simmered for quite a while.... the flavor was so rich!
