My sister-in-law makes sort of a similar smashed potatoes dish using red potatoes and cheddar... Quite good.
Her killer dish is the homemade creamed corn... Very decadent for a side dish.
Sounds delicious.

Well, regarding Thanksgiving, turkey and ham just seem rather old hat... It's the sides (green bean casserole, creamed corn, stuffing, etc.) that really elevate the meal...

I certainly do!! I rarely try new restaurants without a recommendation which is why I can never recommend one here but I can verify that a recommendation is good. I'm pretty picky about where I eat but I can eat a variety of food even very unusual dishes.

Umami Burger
House ground beef, oven-roasted tomatoes, carmelized onions, Parmesan frico, sauteed shiitake mushrooms and house made ketchup.
So, it's that good. Been curious to try it. The ingredients sound delicious!

It's expensive for a burger but it's tasty. It's worth a visit to try it.

It's good though, but not something you might gravitate to very often for the price...it's better than Five Guys though, IMHO.
I'm with you, when all is said in done, In n' Out is still the one.
