Do you know if all of the Shinsengumi restaurants are owned by the same person? And which one is the one you always go to?
Yes, I think they are all owned by the same restaurant group. The one I prefer going to is the original location in Gardena on Western Ave. It's certainly not the biggest or the "nicest" but it is the one with most boisterous activity. I've been to the one in Monterey Park which serves yakitori and shabu shabu at the same location but I think the yakitori at the Gardena location is better, in my opinion.

Yup, seems to be a must-try.
Agreed.
I just hope they have good AC in there! A while back when I went to Ramen Mottainai on what was a warm day it was too dayem hot in there, especially when feasting on a hot bowl of noodles.

Last time I was there, it was almost too toasty on a cold day.

HAHA. Really? Goodness, they got work on that then. All I know is, no matter how cold it might be when you got that big steaming bowl of ramen in your face that's the only environmental control system your going to need.

Thanks! Whenever I come down the 91 fwy to go to Gardena, I see Shinsengumi across the street from Marukai. I'll try it out.
Sure thing.
Oh yeah that's a different Shinsengumi location that serves different food but the one I referred to on Western is pretty close to the location you mentioned on Artesia.

You mean there's 2 very close to each other? I'll look up the address for the one on Western. Thanks!

Yeah bmwracer, pointed out the location I was referring to...but to answer your question they are both pretty close to each other...the one on Artesia doesn't serve yakitori as the main fare. So you want the one on Western.
Just looking at the photograph, you know that has got to be insanely delicious. Iberican pork...had my fill of it in Spain...definitely some tasty vittles.
