Interesting.

Fruitwash Labels Dissolve Into Natural Produce Cleaner When Rinsed

The new label, called a Fruitwash Label and invented by designer Scott Amron, dissolves into a natural produce wash when wet. That means that the Fruitwash Labels solves the problem of fruit labels and the problem of fruit washing at the exact same time.

The Fruitwash Label doesn't exist yet, but Amron is already selling 10% stakes on the strength of his patent.

After doing the math the total bill was about 41 bucks...minus the appetizers that means two bowls of ramen with toppings costed 30 bucks! That is fuggin' insane if you ask me.

I ordered my Hakata Ramen with extra toppings which were an onsen tamago, pork belly chashu, and fried garlic chips (except for the egg these toppings are cold!)

Looks sooo good right now Puppy Dog Eyes

DEEENG!! that's hella expensive. Nut

I miss Daikokuya ramen. Too bad its such a far drive to get it.

Hey long time no see, man. Wave

Like bmwracer said if you are still in the Long Beach area I'd just go to Torrance to eat ramen...it's much closer and there some really good ramen shops there.

Hehe.

I was able to show up a bit early to sneak in a quick bowl of ramen from the Mitsuwa Umaimono Fair. There was already a line forming before they officially opened up. To be expected I guess. I was able to avoid what I'm sure was a long wait for customers and store patrons who showed up just 10 or 15 minutes after I did.

Shio Ramen from Nakamura-ya from Kanagawa. Delicious light broth made from a stock of chicken and fish if I had to guess. Chashu was nice and tender unlike some of the shoe leather I've tasted at some places here. Not salty at all....very tasty! Recommended.

Also noticed that one of the permanent restaurants at the Mitsuwa food court was replaced by a new takoyaki & taiyaki place that opened just a week ago. Grabbed a pipping hot order of takoyaki....pretty good.

Here's a video of the "dancing katsuoboshi shavings." Click image.
