Definitely Smile I'm porked out though. I'm still really full. Sweat There's pork in the broth in addition to the chashu that's served with the noodles. I'm seriously done for the day. I think that'll be my one and only meal...but it was worth it. ^_^

EDIT: Doh Doh! I did mention the weekend lunch thing above. Oops, my apologies.

Looked delicious. Thumbsup

Our dinner looked very nice last night so I took a pic.

THe avocado in the salad was perfect. Big Grin

Tonights variation on the fruit salad was blackberries rather than raspberries. I prefer the latter but they were sold out. Pout

My husband has a hooked on cooking. Tonight was pork chops with brussels sprouts, sauteed shrooms, (just the white button ones. Wink ) and our favorite mashed carrots and potatoes. Along with berry salad. Im big on having berries. I prep big boxes about every 4 or 5 days so I have them ready easily for a quick fruit salad. Victory! Peace!

HAHAHA. Don't sound so forlorn, it wasn't that long ago that you threw up pics of tasty treats.

Since Tsujita is now open for lunch on weekends, try to head out there one day and try a bowl of their noodles. It's well worth it.

Had a late lunch with a buddy of mine at this Mexican restaurant called El Parian that's famous for its savory goat stew, birria. My first time trying this dish. It was incredibly delicious. Thumbsup

Nice... My brother's had birria in the past.

Hmm, I think Bourdain visited a place like this in L.A. from No Reservations.

Really? Cool. A couple of my friends were bagging on me about it. Saying it didn't look or sound good. Oh well. I enjoyed it.

The Goldster (Johnathan Gold) had good things to say about this joint back in '09.

BTW, this place is now open for lunch SEVEN days a week which means you can go there to try the ramen on the weekend if you can't make it during the weekday due to professional or personal obligations.

I went there for lunch last month and it was delicious!!! The choices were: tsukemen or the regular ramen. My friend chose ramen (even though everyone in the place was having tsukemen) and it didn't look that great. The noodles were quite thin. The tsukemen broth was rich but not too salty and the pork was very tender. I'm planning to go back with the family. Big Grin
