Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican food are my faves.
My favorite Japanese dish was a spicy tuna donburi that a local place had (but the place went out of business ) It was the only place that I've seen it, though I don't really eat out at Japanese places too often since its $$$
Heh, I'm in the process of trying out new foreign beers. Any suggestions? I think currently I have some random Austrian beer. Think I'm gonna try a Korean beer when I'm out of this one.

A bunch of us from Hawaii (Oahu) hit Taiyo Ramen (near Kapiolani & Keeaumoku) last Saturday past midnight. Gyoza is huge and garlic-enriched.
However I wanted to take the gang to Tenkaipin, near my workplace on Kalakaua, right past the ritzy stores (Coach, Gucchi, etal) on the left side. Nakamura, right across the street, also serves a good Hakata Tonkotsu that's pretty good.
Maybe next week Saturday we can hit one of those two places after GS...
To ppl in the LA area..whats the best place to eat ramen in LA's Little Tokyo..or just in LA period..whats your fav type there?
in lil tokyo, i like Orochon, it's on the third floor at Weller Court (where curry house is)
yummy, get to choose what soup base, what spiciness and ingredients, side dishes are good too
the first time i was there, some dude finished the extra spicy S2 or something like that flavored ramen and got his pic taken and put on the wall of fame - just amazing

Hey, you can stop by the Kinokuniya bookstore while you're there as well.

Ramen is the best! I always drive to like Cupertino just to get some ramen. I remember watching Beautiful Life and wishing I was in Japan because they ate ramen every night.
