^^

oh yeah, i also ordered something for the first time there, at furaibo, they have this sweet and spicy fillet of chicken cut up into chunks of chicken and fried...similar to karaage but tastier because of the seasoning...it was really good, served on a bed of onions.

edit: it's not like orange chicken or similar crap...it's crunchy without being so saucy...the seasoning is dry in the batter.

there's one in gardena on redondo beach blvd...which is closer for you since you're coming from orange county, there is one in west los angeles, on olympic and sawtelle, (that's the one i go to) and there's one in puente hills.

although a girl is always nice, it's a very casual place like honda-ya in tustin..go with a friend! but if you chose to dine by yourself they do have a counter like at daikokuya or any normal sushi restaurant.

i've been there often...

their specialty is the chicken wings (as in the pictures i posted above)....they are heavenly...they're called tebasaki...you can order them with varying degrees of heat....mild, regular, spicy, extra spicy, etc.

as with any izakaya they have a multitude of small dishes...i also had the ribeye steak with butter...that was quite tasty...

it's worth a visit since you love japanese food.

as i said before i think this forum is great in that ppl exchange information about restaurants and the like...i've benefited more than once from articles/reviews that bmwracer and krim have posted here on past occasions...that's why i'm always throwing up my two cents...we're blessed to have so many japenese restaurants in southern california...but it's difficult to find out about all the good ones without research or word of mouth recommendations.

I was going to post this in the I'm going to Japan thread, but I'm sick of being of topic all the time. Mr Green

The talk about Mos Burger.
Found their menu. http://www.mos.co.jp/menu

They have burgers made with rice instead of bread.

Tokomi Judan for 1000Yen. It comes with a body bag and a 50% off coupon for a new jaw. hehe

The natsumi burger (no bread)

And you have the mos chicken. Looks scary.

... and some foccacia (this one is the bbq)

Now I'm hungry. Puppy Dog Eyes

Only 42.6g of fat. hehe I think it's still less than a wooper. It looks better too. Smile

I've deciphered a few ingredients: (not 100% sure)

ketchup,
IjIX'CX onion ounce
g}g tomato
^X letuce
}l[Y mayonnaise

Don't know the rest, but it looks like there's some bacon and an egg.
