actually, a lot of JPN moms do take the extra time to do all that stuff to make the food appealing to kids at school, and its not just a selected few. A lot different from the Ol' PBJ's right?
Hell, I was happy if my JPN mom cooked even twice a month!
When I was young, I had to walk uphill, both ways, in the snow, barefoot, against the wind... etc...

you forgot: "Shoes? those were a luxury! We used newspaper to wrap our feet up, while we walk our 5 miles, each way to school." Kids nowadays have it so easy. _________________

You can say that again... compared to their parents generation, most Asian teenagers and 20-somethings are so spoiled and lazy. Never had to endure hardship... never had to live through wars.
I guess that's part of why so many Asian youth are so directionless and unmotivated... because their parents had such hard lives before getting to the USA, the parents overly pamper their children, which leads their children into having extended childhoods.

Right. My 20-year old nephew, though going to college, stays up late, sleeps in, and slogs around the house... Totally unmotivated.

Wow what a nice boss. Ours never buys except when we have an offsite meeting and that's only once per year on a weekend. _________________

That is a nice boss. Ours don't buy us jack either. Only time he buys us stuff is when he can get a grant of the company's money. Never on his own though. _________________
