Hey minna san, just did some searches for some of the top 20 songs on oricon today on winmx... and i got very few return results...? Last week i still got average 50+ search results for songs on oricon chart... anyone encountering the same thing?

Oh, my. I hope not! Haven't used WinMx in awhile...been using Winny to d/l Jpop stuff. WinMx is one of the best p2p for Jpop, in my opinion. That's where I got all my SMAP & Hikki mp3s...and video clips!

i'm a new user to winmx and not very impressed so far.. it has lots of very recent clips but after trying to d/l them.. it is totally unableto find any people available to let me download.. only i have lots of people d'ling from me..

most people seem so negative abt WinMx,but i wouldn't know which other program to use...i dun know how to use something else, even after reading i still find Irc very confusing...
as for the songs,i always wait 5 days and then i have lots off results actually...did you typed japanese characters?becoz that may be a reason too...if i type in romaji i also find almost nothing

Agreed! There are a lot of jpop goods which are in japaanese fonts. If you're able to type the fonts, it's a go! There are less goods in Romaji, which is sad for non japanese speakers. AND these days ppl are greedy bastards (sorry, didn't mean to generalize all ppl)...they only leech, don't share.

It wouldn't surprise me. Ever since the RIAA began taking people to court and suing them for millions of dollars, people are afraid to use p2p programs. I know i haven't been using them and rely on instant messengers to get music.

Yes, that's true! That's why I use a program to recognize Japanese characters or convert romanji to kanji.
Most users in Winmx are likely to cut you off, because they are either greedy or you are not sharing files. Users in Winmx hates leechers! For some, I think they want you to ask their permission first!
Yeah, don't try to d/l movies from WinMx...too slow! Only good for music videos, video clips from tv shows, and mp3s!

im a regular winmx user but lately i havent been getting anything, either they're straight greedy or u cant just dl period.. its pissing me off.. even if u ask their permission they never respond u back.

I guess WinMx users are getting greedy. Most of them have a hack that prevents other users to d/l from them, even though it shows that they are sharing! Bastards!

You can try changing the settings to connect to the Asian server. And if you try to search for files in Japanese characters, you might be able to find what you're looking for...including rare Jpop stuff. That's what I've been doing...and it worked for me.
The thing I love most about WinMx, is that you could find high quality video. Just last night, I completed a BShi clip (high definition broadcast) of Hikki's performance of COLORS on "POP Jam," and a BOA performance. AWESOME QUALITY!!! You can't find these files in Kazaa.
