Don't know if anyone has tried Subtitle Translator, but it's a very interesting piece of software. Only tried a few Japanese to English translations, but it does translate the Kanji into English. Of course trying to make sense of it is another story, but if you want to get an idea of what an episode is about if it hasn't been subbed, might be worth giving it a try. Translates other languages too.
One thing you have to do is to convert the subs to SubRip format. I used Subtitle Workshop to do this.

EDIT: I took a look at the current Sony Blu-Ray players... Looks like they support .mp4 video.... But I'm not sure about the subtitles.
With my experience, .mp4 files can present problems unless they have been encoded with specific parameters. For example, they video will play but you won't be able to fast forward or rewind. Or they may not play at all.

Not surprised.
The safer bet would be to hardsub the video in .avi format or maybe even .mpg...

How do you change the playback order of video files in GOM Player? After having downloaded a series, I found that the episodes were arranged in alphabetical order, not chronological order, for payback when I opened them with GOM Player. I was wondering, is there a way to manually change this so they play in sequence in the right order? Thanks!

I think awhile back I asked what people were using for AVI to DVD conversion and the replies were ConvertX2DVD. I used it for awhile, but the video quality wasn't great so I kept looking around and found AVS to DVD. A little more complicated to set up, but the quality is much better than ConvertX2DVD. It seems to support most formats (at least the ones I've tried) and subtitles (.ass must be hardsubbed though). Also the creator is very helpful in solving problems. So if anyone is interested, here is the link:

How do I make GOM player my default music player? When I click the open button on GOM player, the "files of type" is "media files (all types)" and it does not show my mp3 files until I change it to "all files". I have already changed the files to open with GOM player, but it still doesn't work. The only way it works is if I open up the folder from My Computer and click the file itself. Please help, thanks _________________
