if u guys like Meteor Garden 1, you might want to try the anime version called Hana yori Dango - I personally prefer that one. Others mentioned the manga was even better.
I think one of the reason MG2 wasnt as good is because that story wasnt based on the anime. hehehe.

Yup manga is better, it goes further into the story

I've only watched part of MG2 but its not good because its not based on the manga. The director made up the plot herself. MG1 however was genius. I have the anime series on tape, but only watched some of it. I like MG1 better imo. Big Grin

Yea the 2 main characters barely even have any interaction time huh? Can't act well together Sweat They should have casted me for the guy role! I would have acted with that girl hehe

i like Hana Yori Dango, it was the reason why i bothered to watch MG2, i guess i thought it would be good?

Whoa I was just reading the manga and since it came out a long time ago, before the anime, Yoko Kamio, the author btw, said they casted Takuya Kimura as the voice for Hanazawa Rui!!! No wonder I always thought the voice in the anime was familar. LOL. Didn't know that til now Wink

haha yea he's pretty cool. I wonder what other celebrities were in the anime. It's funny reading the manga though since Yoko Kamio puts so many commentary about what she thinks and what it's like creating the story.

Actually Kimura Takuya was not the voice of Hanazawa Rui in the anime. He was however the voice of Rui in the manga CDs. Which is basically voice actors reading the manga.....like a "books on tape" type of thing. You should see the covers of those CDs. Kimura Takuya looks SOOOO young! When I first saw it, I was, "Wow, he looks like he's 10 years old!"
