has she been in a jdrama or jmovie? if she has, then it's ok for her to be here in this section, but if she hasn't then she belong in general like ther other asian artiste. i just think we might want to be consistant with our standards and practices. _________________

I did some research and it seems you may be correct. This thread should be moved to General Discussions, unless someone can say which drama she has been in.

As a Faynatic of long standing, and huge huge fan of the series, "Arranged Marriage" I'm sad to say... she ain't in it.
Since I'm not exposed to their PR media, I never really have any idea how important different performers are in Asia. I just like them or I don't.
But I got an idea of how important Faye was when I noticed she did most of her part in Uso Koi in English, and the Japanese actors simply carried on as if they'd understood what she'd said.
That's clout.
By the way... Anyone who didn't fall completely in love with her in "Chungking Express" is just looney. _________________

ME TOO!!! I like her a lot. She's the coolest one of the coolest singers on earth. I like her eccentricity, unique style and just different than any other mando/canto pop singer. Aside that she's a very talented actress.

It's funny... here at Jdorama.com, 99% of the men are going crazy for Japanese actresses and singers.
Here I am, extolling the virtues of Chinese actresses and singers...
Kelly Chen
Sammi Cheng
Faye Wong
Miriam Yeung
Joey Yung
I've been told that Miriam, though from Asia, used to live in the SF Bay Area and was a nurse before returning to Asia.
Go ahead and shoot me for preferring Chinese femmes.

Eve,
In "Arranged Marriage" ("Omiai Kekkon") Matsu Takako and Yusuke Santamaria have an Arranged Marriage Meeting, and the series is basically about two modern Japanese people getting involved with something they never thought they'd have any part of.
If I had a top ten list, this one would definitely be on it. It's one of my absolute favorites.
Faye's "Uso Koi" ("Love from a Lie") is about a Chinese girl in Japan. Her work (or student, I can't remember) visa has run out and she flim-flams herself onto co-star Nakai Kiichi's family register as his wife, so that she can stay in Japan.
The problem comes in when he's about to get married for real, and discovers, on his wedding day, that according to his register, he's already married... to someone he's never met.
