That's not chinese, that's a thai-drama. I think the language is mandarin-chinese, that's why it sounds like thai language.
I'm watching now Poor Prince and Devil beside You. They are so good, they are must-seen dramas! The languages are mandarin-chinese, but only for Devil beside You is eng sub. For Poor Prince is only chinese sub.

85 episodes?! That's a long drama. And is it good?

just finished Yes!

its 84 eps actually, it's very long and could get very confusing if you try to remember all the names that come up. There are only a handful of really important characters who'll last through many eps and once you know who they are, you'll make it thru the drama.

the storyline itself is excellent as its based on the three kingdoms by luo guanzhong. the acting was surprisingly better than i thought, particularly the actor who plays zhuge liang, and the music fits quite well. the cinematography is clearly cruder than what you usually get in western or standard jdramas and the english subs are not that good and sometimes incomplete. Props could probably have been better but since they stuck to the storyline quite faithfully, overall, i think it was well worth watching.

oh, and one more thing, at times its rather bloody - you'll see head's roll and blood spray everywhere - you've been warned Wink

I've seen quite a lot Taiwanese dramas too, yeah, "Devil Beside You" is pretty good. Have you guys seen "It Started with a Kiss" ? It's pretty good too. Also "Prince to Frog", "Love Magician", "Mr Fighting" etc etc. All pretty good Victory! Peace! Try watching some when you guys have time, worth recommending ^^;
