first day here and i already have two people to fight to get to subaru! subaru would probably like a bunch of girls fighting over him. haha, no seriously though, i love them all too, and i still love ryo too, just not quite as much as subaru. i think the more you get to know them the more you like them all. at least that's what happened to me anyway.

You won't believe how many frens I've to fight for Subaru! First there's only 2 of us and then another fren wanted to claim him. And then another one starts to fall for him, so I have to *shoo* her to her first love which is Yu!

what made you subaru fans love him?

for me, it was his voice (me loves naniwa iroha bushi). and his craziness/dorkiness in the excite mc (hahahha). his live singing of mikan made me sooooo sad. his dancing to "i believe in myself" in one of the earlier johnny's jrs music station performance (u don't usually see him dance hard now that he's older...). his fight man performance on shounen club (such attitude, kakkoi~). then his singing in amechan (ippai oppai ippai oppai XD). then the shounen club idol thing with his rendition of the super idol smile with a kettle (XDXD). and then i watched the first urajani with his cutely done hair, all dressied up in a suit, saying how he knows he can't win takki (i luv u more than takki!), laying on the lady's bed even though yoko asked to just sit on it, and dancing with the lady (chou lucky!).

i would love to have kanjani8 plushies! especially if they looked cute like in those episode books. they really should make plushies, because i'm sure that many fans would buy them.

lol wait, there'a a fight group already, and we have a theme song too? i would join in on a yoko fight group too, but it looks like there isn't one. XD

what made me love subaru? HIS VOICE. i can sit here and listen to him singing all day and never get tired of it. i think it's probably the same for many subaru fans. but i also like it when he's crazy and loud in their tv shows and in concert mc too. he acts like a kid even though he's the second oldest in eito. sometimes he's cute, sometimes he's pretty, sometimes he's "ossan" as they like to call him, sometimes he's scary, and he never cares what others think and just says and does what he wants. i love that about him. kyaaa~ now i feel like going to watch some more subaru stuff.

misumae, amechan is a song sung by san kyoudai. the version i was talking about is just an mp3 that was uploaded here a while back i think. i've uploaded it again here for you and anyone else who needs it. i *heart* this song a lot and shouta sounds really adorable too!!! and the other members saying "amechan". kyaaa~ (esp ryo *melts*)

By the way, can someone please clarify for me why Ryo is called Ryotan and Ryotaro? What's the significance of those names?

shinshin, i know that during one of the segments on shounen club, the one where tegoshi was going over the making/history of nishikido ryo, tegoshi wanted to demonstrate how ryo gets embarrassed easily. koyama said that when other people call him cute/cool/handsome, ryo actually gets embarrassed and shy. (awww kawaii~~ *chu*). therefore, tegoshi proposed for the audience to say "ryo-chan aishiteru!". and koyama suggested ryo-tan (instead of ryo-chan). so the audience yelled "ryo-tan aishiteru" to try and embarrass him, but instead he said that the audience's feelings are probably one way. ryo, u're too adorable.

so the different suffixes (of course besides the polite ones like -san, -sama, -kun) added to names kinda gives off the familiarity/closeness you have with the other person. so that explains -chan and -tan. it's kinda like a pet name/nickname deal.

i'm not sure about -taro, but i'm guessing it's a similar thing, another nickname pet suffix.

i remember reading around (on debbie's livejournal) and tegoshi had one of the most adorable suffixes: tego-nyan.

Actually Ryotaro is the nickname of Ryo by YamaPi when they were young (as also explained by Pi in his jweb that day -- source: Helen's blog). YamaPi used "Ryotaro" to call Ryo once this year in that particular jweb around January to wish Ryo good luck on his solo concert.

As for Ryotan, I believe this was made by Tegoshi himself as Ryo calls him "Tegonyan." I've read this somewhere, but I don't remember the source, so basically this is based on my memory.

Ahh, I see. I'm familiar with the more common honorifics, but not much so with -tan or -taro. In any case, they both sound cute What's cuter though is the fact that Ryo is shy lol. I read somewhere around here that he never really makes eye to eye contact with the audience or something like that I wonder why that is, exactly.... if there's another reason aside from being shy.
