oo nga, im an original jin fan, after 2 weeks he declared his hiatus tpos nung first, it was ok coz i have to cope up w/this fandom ne, i had to watch alot of jin and KT clips... then sometime around december, i was really really bored now and JIS HIATUS at that time really sinked in so i started searching for another one ~ thats where i discover NewS coz of kusanos shes all mine perf... then right now, these past week bored to death na naman ako sa NewS ~ depress because of kusano and uchi ~and i had a chance to watch DB ne, and thats where i came stumbling in KANJANI8 land.. actually i knew subaru sometime in december and the k8 as well but i didnt dare yet to enter their world kc no. 1 magastos, and no.2 wla akong time... so here i am, when i watched them in countdown perf~~ and when i saw subaru ~~ DANG! ayun na! wla na! the rest is history...
i would say alot of akanishi fans as well as other KT fans were bored too after jins hiatus ~~ kita mo ngayon, nghahanap muna sila ng libangan habang wla pa si jin... coz once jin comes back ~~ fans as well will dedicate themeselves to KATTUN again...
but nway, i like kanjani8 esp subaru coz hes really my type! plus rebelde pa gurl! like kusano and jin...lahat na yata ng gusto ko nawawala lagi... nauna lang si subaru... hehehehehe

Haha, looks like you're into the bad boys eh? Ako din, sort of lol. I started my JE obsession around late 2005. After KT, I moved on to K8 because of Ryo and disregarded NEWS at the time. Somewhere along the way I realized I liked Uchi, and since I'm already familiar with K8, I moved on to NEWS and see what the fuss was all about. wow! ang tagal mo na pla sa JE WORLD ne! i started liking JE last sept lang... hahaha im still a newbie but i had my transitions... way back before, when i watched the summary perf w/NewS and KT, most of the time i hit the fast forward button coz i dint know NewS as well as other KT members at that time.. my eyes were only glued to jin and kame.. i even hate yamapi there... then i get to watch spostsfest and did alot of skipwatch coz i dint know the senpais except for takky and matsujun... tand then when i started liking other bands and watched alot of doramas i was able to know quite alot of other je boys... so when i rewatched those summary and sportsfest videos ~ i was like ~ ah nagase un ah! ah ate naman si tsubasa.. mga ganon ba! hhehehe sme with the magazine, when i bought my first je magazine ~ i rmbr i only knew KATTUN and matsujun and some arashi members and ofcors yamapi... and i even thot okhura was shirota yuu in novs 06 wink up magazine..hahahah and just last week, i scanned again those magazines ~ i was a bit surprise i saw alot of familiar faces like teshi,masu, and k8 esp SUBARU! so un nga, parang grabe mas marami na akong alam compared dati... hehehehe
oh yeah, i was checking her list awhile ago, i didnt see any subscriptions there, mostly old issues... she had wink up or potato mag i think back issue where kanjani8 as cover models..i was tempted to bid on it kaya lng its old issue... but i sent her an email about the subscription...
so u really like ryo ne?? i say ryo and uchi suits more in K8 than in NewS..theyre not that too boybandish to me.. oh well if u know what i mean

Oi, di pud inun-ana oi. For about a year I only focused on KT, and then I started branching out to others. I only became a fan of K8 4 months ago, and NEWS around last month lang haha. So I'm really not better off than you Before I had some trouble remembering all their names and knowing who's who. Because when I first saw the guys, it's hard to tell them apart haha. But then it's not too long until you get the drift. I would show clips to my friends and they would jokingly ask if some of the guys are quintuplets or if all of them are related haha. Mga buang jud.
Takki was the first JE guy I laid eyes on, which was 3 years ago. Cute man gud cya so lisud jud ma-miss iyang nawong But all I do is look at pics, clips, and dramas. I don't really spend time on the internet looking for news and updates of the guys. Tapulan man gud ko. This forum is my main source of JE news practically.

when i was new in JE, i had a hardtime memorizing their faces and names... i really do have a poor memory to begin with... up until now, i dont remember the japanese titles ~~ i only memorize those names and song tracks i like...nevertheless, i still manage to cope up w/this fandom...
u know what, this is the first time i became active w/forums/thread ~ during my f4 days im using the internet to surf and save alot of pics for them..but when i join JE ~ its diff... my first thread is Asianfanatics and thats they only source i have for all je news... i dint bother to joining other thread and search up or google/wiki them before... my forum pinay frends told me that i should look for other resources and open LJs and stuffs... well i manage to join other threads but i never retrieve my LJ password ~~ as i said ~~ i have a big memory gap! hahahhha
speaking of boyband ~~ not the general boyabnd meaning ne... i mean those teeny boppers dirrrttyy pop boybands like that ~ like f4, NewS... ryo and uchi have this badboy aura and NewS is definitely a clean cut goodie boybands except for kusano...thanks to kusano he somewhat made me like NewS... im into boybands w/attitude ne... thats why i prefer ryo and uchi in k8... but its ok to see them in NewS as well...

and i just found out suba was arrested before and yoko fond of making rumors like he said before that he was on drugs and hina corrected him by saying he was on medications...and yoko before said he was gay and again hina saves the day.. hahahhaha
really these guys are pretty funny... am glad hina is always there, while subas okaasan always there for yoko and hina...

Well, the time when Hina didn't like Subaru was around the first time he met Subaru, that was before they became best friends. I think that around that time, Hina was already close to Yu, but unlike Hina/Subaru, Yu/Subaru hit it off from the first moment they met because both really are the same inside. I don't know how Hina got to be one of Subaru's best friends afterwards but I think he must have seen how Subaru got that good qualities that drew them to each other, hence the threesome all K8 fans have come to love!
Well about the Sexy Osaka Man thing, it's actually self-proclaimed on Ryo's part haha!
You know how the media keep saying that JE letting Uchi & Kusano back to JE is a miracle considering the 3 former Tokyo Juniors who were fired right before FIVE (which should have included Takki & Subaru) debuted? Subaru's case is even more miraculous too, considering that he's already 20 at that time and going rebellious to the point of confronting Johnny himself, but was still let back to Kansai Jrs and consequently into K8 later on...Yup, been wondering which one of the Johnny's upper guys who love him so all this time too. But there's a theory to it, he was after all a top junior and if Takki was 'Takki of the East', he was 'Subaru of the West'.
Let me see if I can dig 'Aishiteru Aishitenai' perf from my PC. Hmm, about T&T, I don't recall him saying or mentioning about T&T ever since the incident, so I don't know if they're on good terms now. But Takki once (or twice) has spoken fondly of Subaru, like during their junior years, they fought almost every day but then made up in just like 15 minutes after that...that's how close those two were. In fact, before the incident, Subaru listed Takki & Tsubasa as his best friends in JE along with Yu & Hina.
Chameleon is like that lizard-kind-of animal who always changes colour depends on his surrounding? That's what I meant with Subaru...his looks often depend on the way he chooses to style his hair!
Oh yeah, a little history on K8:
Officially formed (and announced on Honjani): December 2002
Debuted (or semi-debuted, whichever you choose to believe): August 2004 with Naniwa Iroha Bushi in Kansai area only (yup, JE is biased and they don't have the extravagant debut PR and con like Arashi, T&T, NEWS and KT had). The overwhelming response to the single prompted JE to release the single nationwide on 22 September 2004 (Subaru's birthday!), and debuted at no.1 on the Oricon chart. _________________

altho hes really short for a guy but hes taller than me for 4inches... yosh!!!

and about hina, he was yokos saviour up till now coz they say yoko loves to humor ppl buy creating rumors...

Nah, Takki was not that rebellious, remember that he's the Jrs leader. Subaru became rebellious AFTER he drifted apart from both T&T.

K8 are TOO CLOSE to each other. How often can you hear members in the other groups list their own band members as best friends? Subaru, Yu & Hina are each other's best friends, and yet they're also friends with the other members. You'll hear stories about how Yu took Ryo & Ohkura to Disneyland and were forced to spend the money on them just because he's the oldest. Or how Hina took Maru on a Korean trip, twice. Or how Subaru spends his time shopping with Yassu. Or how Ryo took Ohkura to Okinawa for a getaway, just the two of them.

"Although they spend so much time together as it is, even after work, they go eat together, randomly wanting to hang out."
I'm still confused to why JE didn't give them a big debut. I reckoned that they hailed from Kansai and JE didn't think they could be popular again after years of hiatus. In a way, I think that JE underestimated Kanjani8's power. The sales of Naniwa Iroha Bushi in Kansai took JE by surprise. Who would have thought that an enka release by a JE group could top the enka chart? And when they finally released the single nationwide in September and it went to no.1, again, who would have thought that an enka song by a relatively new group could top the overall chart? its not really official yet but uchi,ryo and the rest is somewhere around there...lol its because i havent really check the others yet thats why... but the first 3 is official i think..but when i heard about hina being a GOOD friend to suba and yoko ~ he made me want to put him up in the top 1 list but ofcors not! im totally inluv w/subaru!!! kyaaa... and i just receive my duet back issue and gosh! suba had blond hair in there...
i think all kansai jrs are really pretty close compared to osaka/tokyo jrs since i think kansai arent really prioritize when JE decides whos to debut... and theyre helping themselve and recognize each other...
they say JE dint give them a debut since when it comes to debuting ~~ mgt is more focus to osaka/tokyo units than kasai units...i guess JE didnt anticipated their success after k8s first single was release... but up until now, i wonder why JE havent decide yet to let k8 go oversease like KATTUN and NewS eventho KANJANI8 is as successfull as NewS and KATTUN in japan... maybe they were like SMAP ne??

its not really official yet but uchi,ryo and the rest is somewhere around there...lol its because i havent really check the others yet thats why... but the first 3 is official i think..but when i heard about hina being a GOOD friend to suba and yoko ~ he made me want to put him up in the top 1 list but ofcors not! im totally inluv w/subaru!!! kyaaa... and i just receive my duet back issue and gosh! suba had blond hair in there...
i think all kansai jrs are really pretty close compared to osaka/tokyo jrs since i think kansai arent really prioritize when JE decides whos to debut... and theyre helping themselve and recognize each other...

I think built-wise, Subaru is the smallest, but he's like 2 cm taller than Yassu. I love it though when those 2 chicchai boys are together together...they're so cute being around each other! I feel like wanna give them both a hug haha!
Eh you mean Tacchon? It's so cute how Yassu named him this and the others particularly Ryo fondly call him that since then. So you got a K8 ranking now? I can't particularly decide my no.5, I think 4 of them occupy the same spot haha! My ichiban would be Subaru of course, then Yu, then Maru then Yassu. So that makes Hina, Ohkura, Ryo & Uchi at no.5, though I tend to prefer Hina these days hehe...
Actually Kansai refers to Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe area, and not surprisingly K8 are made up from all these 3 main regions. Subaru, Yu, Hina, Ryo, Uchi & Ohkura are Osaka boys (with Yu & Hina's family houses pretty close to each other, Hina & Subaru have mutual friends, and Ryo & Ohkura were childhood friends), Maru is from Kyoto while Yassu is from Kobe.
Yup, I must say that they resemble SMAP in a lot of sense. Can't say the same about the musical talent though...I'm a huge SMAP fan but even I have to admit that K8 are more musically talented than their senpais haha!

WD, it's really amazing how all of them never tire of each other ne? They're around each other most of the time yet they still want to hang out on their free time. I, myself, get tired of my friends and I don't even see them everyday haha. By the way, how long have you been a K8 fan? You seem to be overflowing with information lol. Sugoi na!

I've been a K8 fan for a year and a half now. I've always been a Subaru fan though, ever since he was the top Kansai junior. Back then, the only juniors I cared about were Subaru and Toma Ikuta. I was one of those angry fangirls when 4TOPS were disbanded, hated NEWS for quite a while haha!

Ako sad, di ko makabasa ug hapon. akong gi-apas kanang mga pics lang haha. i think i have about 6 or 7 of those mags from fall of last year. i think one of the reason i stopped buying was because Jin left haha. But I think I'll start buying again once my fave idols come back to the lime light 
I'm taking nursing and I have two more years to go. I plan to work for at least a year, save, and then go to Japan to learn the language. I really don't know if it's going to work out, but we'll see what happens. You know what they say... if there's a will, there's a way lol.
Before I had some trouble remembering all their names and knowing who's who. Because when I first saw the guys, it's hard to tell them apart haha. But then it's not too long until you get the drift. I would show clips to my friends and they would jokingly ask if some of the guys are quintuplets or if all of them are related haha. Mga buang jud.
