Thanks all, leaving already in 12 days!

I may be going again this March, but only for 1.5 weeks. Doh!

Still, great.
I said it in the birthday thread, but if you stop by in Tokyo I'm always up for sake!

EstherM, what are taking classes for? Calligraphy, Kendo, Sake tasting Drunk , or is it something useless and stupid (i.e. work related)?

Well one reason is to watch dramas without subtitles Nut
Thank god, it's not work-related. The perks of living in a socialist country and paying 50% of your salary, almost 70% of your bonus in taxes (I swear that makes me cry every year) is that you have access to a series of entitlements. One of them being the sabbatical year and your employer has to take you back.

Having said that, we expect a double dip or another recession if you like (then again who likes that!) so my company is quite pleased to have me off the payroll for 12 months. Win win!

That alone is reason enough to drink sake, in Tokyo or otherwise!

I am serious...I'll look you up if I head to Tokyo again. At this point I'm fortunate to have enough hotel points to enable a stay in Japan for a week or so free. More money for sake and yakitori! Drunk

I can even imagine how he ended up in that state.

I like how there are people standing and sitting all around him like it ain't no thing.

"Oh it's just a guy dressed as a power ranger and some fool who passed out ass up naked on the floor. Good thing he doesn't have a cucumber in his butt. Just another day in Tokyo."

It's not just Japanese. Taiko Project was over in Japan and one of their members fell asleep on the train so they decided to have some fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OynjWNagfY
