It wasn't too cold with 10 to 15 degrees celcius. Indeed, I was relieved to be out of the heat for a bit Sweat

It was a demonstration by the extreme right at Shinjuku today. It was Nippon this and Nippon that. Then it was about America and that came with the word uragiri. I didn't feel entirely safe making photo's Sweat

August 15th is the anniversary of Japan's surrender ending World War II. That's probably why they were demonstrating. You have nutcases everywhere. There are people in the southern United States still fighting the civil war. Nut

But I bet the Japanese nutcases are a lot more polite than American nutcases.

You should have asked to take a photo with them on their truck.

Btw. I've left Japan. Am in Frankfurt now at an applewine fest. The contrast couldn't be bigger : )
It's amazing how efficient the Japanese are. Germany is a mess compared to it. Trains with a delay, waiting for a long time in Starbucks to get the wrong order: unthinkable in Nihon : )

Have been back for almost a week now. Back to work as well. It's strange, but I'm still having dreams of being in Japan. Never had dreams of being in another country before, for so many days. Mostly I'm back dreaming normal after 1 or 2 days.
It was tremendous being in Japan this time, and I hope to be able to visit again soon!

I've talked with a number of Japan travelers. Those who are ex-JET, those who were exchange students, and those who went there on vacation. It seems dreaming about being in Japan is a very common after-effect. My own dreams were so vivid, I would wake up surprised to be in the U.S. One of my friends in Japan says it's my soul that is traveling to Japan, because it wants to be back there. My body just needs to catch up!

The dreams may continue for a while. (Your mileage may vary.) Enjoy them. Savor those tasty bits until you can return, body and soul.
