hi everybody, i'm new here!
i can see how there're a LOT of people who're interested in japan (me too!) , just from reading these posts in this thread!
my question is: if you guys really like (& still really like, after went & stayed there for some period of time to taste its "real-life") Japan, then is there any plan to go there, stay there? (perhaps going to involve some working/job there, otherwise will starve)
is there any of you here who's planning to go there & live there for a certain period of time, for work, or for study?
because i'm currently also planning... btw, i'm a musician (composer) , still part-time, but really wish/aspire to be a FULL-time musician in japan's industry......god grant my wish please!
Hi niki,
I lived some time in Japan because I did my MBA exchange programme there. I went to university and did some internships. I even got offered a job as a trainer (teaching presentation skills, business negociations and the likes) which I declined. I don't fit that well in the Japanese system.
If you don't speak Japanese and don't have good connections, it will be very difficult to get a job. International companies with overseas department (or if you highly specialised, let's say in IT) may want to employ you but they won't let you do much and they want you present fulltime. A way to make money is - if you speak some languages - to give conversational lessons, perhaps music lessons could work for you.
In any case I recommend to prepare well before you go, read some good guidance books, study some Japanese and save up money. Good luck
