I use Ulead Player..but sometimes the capture option is available and other times it is not..I want a player or program that capture all the time.

I use PowerDVD for my screencaps.

I guess I'm a purist: I want the image raw then I can choose the compression amount.

For the screencaps, did you choose Window Size or Same as Original?

a good player that handles many different file types for screen capture is BSPLAYER. there's options to save as JPG or BMP.
plus its freeware.  _________________

i use BSPlayer ... also very easy to use and dont need to name file each time ... can just use numbering ...
