Found a site with upcoming JP releases with comments in english and romaji.
For those of us with crappy Kanji skills
Check it out and say hello to kuma-chan.
I don't know why kuma is written in katakana. Not to be confused with a bear maybe...

 |
|
I got some of the songs from the Waterboys OST but I seriously can't find this one song, which I really love.
It starts playing precisely at 1:22:05 if that helps, which is at the very end of the movie.
It plays when Suzuki (I think that's his name, can't remember really) begins singing and dancing along to the song and gets closer to that girl he really likes.
The lyrics are translated to:
"That feel-good sting,
of young hearts on fire.
You sparkle for no reason.
And you know you're in love.
Some day soon.
And only to you.
I have to confess,
Everything I feel.
To get a little stronger,
I'm rowing away
In my broken boat."
Anyone? This is driving me insane

Cool! I have one of their CDs. Also got to see them live once, and it was a really cool show.

Really? Where?
I've listened to a couple of their CDs and adding in the visual aspect makes it even that much more impressive and powerful.
Great stuff.

It was when they did a tour of the US they came to a local University auditorium. Seeing them live is great, their music has such a dynamic range, my old stereo doesn't cut it.
I think I read somewhere that they all live in sort of an artists commune and train really hard. That's why the dudes are so wiry and can pound on the drums all night long.

In the video thet mentioned that they're all from a little town in Japan and they're totally dedicated to the taiko...
Yeah, those guys are wiry and lean, but they're also pretty cut, too. Amazing.

Yeah, there's something fascinating and primal about it... I saw some Taiko demonstrations in Little Tokyo during the Nisei Week Festival... Terrific.

I couldn't agree more. It's like hearing your heart beat magnified 100 times.
