For those who haven't watch, BRAND is a romantic comedy drama of a 35 yrs old career single woman and a 25 yrs old young man (Ichikawa Somegorou, Matsu Takako's oniisan). This one has a -they didnt end up together- ending. But, anyway, I didn't root the couple that much either, coz the female lead also has an ex-boyfriend who is also her bestfriend, so I think she shld get together with him, instead of Somegorou. Plus, Imai is also the young man lover's superior, his boss x)
But as for ANEGO, I'm ALL for Naoko and Kurosawa!! Even thou 10 years apart, they both look cute, and right for each other...heehee... and just office mates too, so won't have problems if they get together (if they're a superior and subordinate, of course, gossips will be evrywhere).
ah!! But I soooo love Kato Masaya too!!!! The married man, Naoko had crush on!! KAKKOOOOIIII!!!^v^ too bad, he's married, ne...x) And with the irritating Tomosaka Rie too x)
|
For me when watching Brand the pairing wasn't so bad but in Anego the 22/32 difference really shows. The male has such a baby face (not mentioning the fact that he doesn't look manly) and that double the impact of their difference in age appearance wise.
To tell you the truth I was rooting for Kato Masaya's char and Naoko. Heck they look so good together who cares that they're cheating. I couldn't help but glued to the screen drooling over Kato Masaya in ep 8.

I forgot asking the thing I wanted to know the most from that Naoko-Kurosawa conversation at the supermarket (2nd ep). The last lines...what I caught, is that Kurosawa asked Naoko whether he can try Naoko's cooked foods someday...(or..was it? my jap is lame x))....then Naoko asked, "why do u want to?". A very, very, very long pause....while the written dialogues on the screen appear besides Kurosawa!^^ But, but....the last kanji letters were BLURRED! TWICE!!! xD
Why is that?? What does it mean? Kurosawa didn't even dare to think about it?? ha...what is it?? x) i'm so curious!

Oh the blurrs, I think that was, huh, actually I kind of lost that...I'm thinking it could've been:
Lost in his thought, word was something unsuitable to mention, or they just didn't want to show it...
But I forgot what the reason was...heh, sorry I'm so rapped up in the series that I want to jump to the next episodes and I seem to forget small details within the dramas...^_^'' _________________

have people seen the last episode? and what do you think of the ending?
*** possible spoilers ***
The character development of anego in episode 9 and 10 seem a bit strange to me. While Naoko's female collegues reacted with injustice towards Eriko's over the top bad-mouthing, Naoko herself seemed to take it all in willingly. If she is so nice to the point of being naive, then the plot makes sense. But as she mentioned herself, (in episode 7 or 8, can't remember. it's when Eriko left home and Sawaki invited her for dinner) that she didn't really want to play the 'nice anego' that everybody counts on anymore, the fact that she continued to treat Eriko with the same sincerity after all that she's done to her, didn't make the plot flow.
also, suits in the grass field of Mongolia?? is a suit the only way of marking Kurosawa's role as a salaryman? ( he looks cute though, running across the field like that)
It feels like they were rushing things in order to finish in 10 episodes. I thought Eriko was such a b**ch, and in the last episode she somehow turned into a strong, rational person. such a dramatic change!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
despite my complaints, i do thoroughly enjoy the series though, especially the way they typed out the thoughts of the characters on the screen.

I finally did finish this drama, I enjoyed it. Akanishi goes from Gokusen 2 bad boy to calm and shy Kurosawa-kun ^_^
**SPOILER**
Yes Eriko is mean, but she kind of a twisted minded wife. In the drama she mentions at the end how her husband had once before had an affair. Eriko is just very concious about who her husbnd is with, I mean she thinks of her husband as her "destiny" and wants to stay with him, and have a perfect family, and tries to prevent anything bd from happening. The only reason that Eriko had done the bad thing to Anego wasd because she thought that she was taking her from her husband.
Anego is Eriko's friend, Eriko trusted her with so many things, then she catches them together and suspects the worse when her husband wants to divorce her, and she felt betrayed. Anego was nice to her still when she passed out the letter or hatred because she knew what Eriko was thnking, she didn't want Eriko to think that way, she didn't want to do such a thing to Eriko, friendship is far better to have, then love.
**Now I know what the blurry typing was when you read what anego and Kurosawa are thinking. It mostly means that the audience can't read their mind.
I wonder why Jdorama didn't put Anego up in the dram listing... _________________

I will have this follow up to Genma. He's currently busy and I'm still in the middle of cleaning up Project P.

It could also be that Anego and Kurosawa can't read each other's mind??
Anyway, it was really cute.
This is really one of the best drama of last season, highly recommended.
Most of the Dramas starring Shinohara Ryoko are good stuff. Check it out. ^^

I'm just curious if your one of the staff on Jdorama that fixes problems too, because I made a remark in the suggestions section, in the "corrections" forum, but I don't know if anyone is reading that section... |
I'm one of the moderators in this forum so if there's anything that you want to say you can pm me if no one hears you in the forum and I will forward your message to the admin.
FYI, the mods in this forum always appear in yellow when you log in.
About Anego, can anyone just give me the list of the casts, synopsis, tv station etc...so It would really help me a lot to update this stuff on jdorama.
