Has anyone seen this and/or knows what it is about? It stars Wakui Emi. I am wondering if it is any good.

Emi becomes a trainer for a washed-up boxer (Mitsuru Fukigoshi, from News no Onna and Ashita ga Aru sa) who wants to make a comeback. Ken Ishiguro [Shomuni] is her steady boyfriend, Mikihisa Azuma [Sugao no mamade, Yamato Nadeshiko] another coach at the gym, and Takehiko Ono [YN, News no Onna] the gym owner. Yuki Amami plays Fukigoshi's girlfriend. Of course, Emi and Fukigoshi fall in love. Unlike To Heart, the story is too dark and moody. I skipped most of it.

Thank You very much for the description. Someone is selling it on EBAY and the start bid is US$30.00 and I was wondering if it justified the price. I think this is too much for an older drama that no one has heard of.

Review: 7/10

Naguru Onna was an Ok drama. Although Ifm sure Wakui Emi is a solid actress, she didnft quite pull me in. I thought she was convincing and definitely fit her character, but she didnft interest me. Fukihoshi Mitsuru on the other handc! What a presence! I was completely convinced that he was a boxer and I felt his hardships through his actions!

Although the plot was liner and seemed predictable, the outcome of these predictions was never quite accurate, which I really liked. The love that blossomed between the two main characters was subtle and so, when it finally happened, it was believable.

This drama is enjoyable to watch, even if you donft like boxing. However, in the forum of sport-related dramasc well, itfs no Pride.
