ahh... darn it! haven't seen Pirates 3 yet.. i was supposed to see it last Saturday but i kept putting it off coz i've been kinda busy with something rather important... *sighs*
i happen to watch Shrek 3 though... it was hilarious! I love the part
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
when Donkey and Puss accidentally changed bodies... wahehe... classic. Shrek and Fiona's babies looked like some sort of ewoks or something... only cuter!
im looking forward to this movie entitled "BORDERTOWN" starring j lo and antonio banderas... im a fan of suspense/thriller/gory/killing movies so when i read about this one in the newspaper... well, it's a must see for me... and it is based on a true story! here's a little info about it from imdb...
Loosely based on a series of unsolved murders in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, an industrial border town near El Paso, Texas. Although estimates conflict, innumerable young women have been kidnapped, tortured and murdered since 1993.
the newspaper says they still dunno if it's done by a satanic cult or just some sadistic lunatic...
i'll probably see this after pirates 3 though... _________________

OK I did see Pirates 3 on Friday night. I did enjoy it a lot, although it's a bit hard to follow at times. Some parts were hilarious, especially some of the minor pirate guys (the guy with the wooden eye and is stupid mate) and Keith Richards was born to be a pirate!

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "Citizen Kane," Orson Welles' powerful portrait of an unscrupulous media baron, beat back an assault from "The Godfather," on Wednesday to retain its title as the greatest American film.
Film critics, historians and experts voted "Kane" as the top U.S. film for the second time in a decade in a poll conducted by the American Film Institute. The results were revealed in a three-hour CBS special "100 Years, 100 Movies, 10th Anniversary Edition."
"The Godfather," which ranked third in the original poll of 100 great films a decade ago. moved up a notch to second place while "Casablanca" slipped to number three.
Also in the top 10 were a surprising "Raging Bull" at number four, up 20 places from a decade ago. "Singin' in the Rain" was in fifth place, "Gone With The Wind" was sixth followed by "Lawrence of Arabia," "Schindler's List," "Vertigo" and "The Wizard of Oz."
"Vertigo," the Hitchcock film starring James Stewart, rose to 9th place after placing 61st in the original poll.

I saw "Night at the Museum" last week. Boy, it was a lot more fun than I expected it to be.
I just got my copies of the three "My Wife is a Gangster" movies in the mail.
I saw #1 a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Something about Eun-Kyung Shin's dead pan performance really worked for me. I was stunned at how well she played the personality differences between her life with the gang and her time with her sister.
I rented #2 a couple of weeks ago, and enjoyed it so much I went out and bought all three films. It was odd that they kept the title. Yeah, Shin was playing the same character... but the husband simply wasn't in the movie.
Didn't matter though. It was funnier than the first.
As to the third movie... jeez, no idea why they used the title again. Again, no husband. And this time... no Eun-Kyung Shin!!!
Yup, it's about a female Boss/Super Woman involved with Korean (and Chinese) gangs. But it's a different character, and a different actress.
This time Chinese actress Qi Shu is the star.
My only complaint with this movie is that they called it "My Wife Is A Gangster 3". It was a fun little comedy martial arts movie... but it really had nothing to do with the first two. _________________

I have watched many movies in the last week because my summer vacation started and I had nothing to do.
So far, the movies I have seen (they are pretty old ones my friend had on DVD) that I like are:
Die Hard
Die Hard 2
Die Hard: With a Vengeance
Lethal Weapon
Lethal Weapon 2
Lethal Weapon 3
Lethal Weapon 4
Alien
Aliens
Alien 3
Alien 4: Resurrection
Predator
Predator 2
AVP: Alien Versus Predator
Mr. Nice Guy (Jackie Chan movie)
Rumble in the Bronx (Jackie Chan movie)
Escape from New York
EDIT: All the movies above are American. I guess the Jackie Chan ones count too because they were in English.
I have Shaolin Soccer, but I have not seen it yet. I will maybe watch it tomorrow or the day after.
I saw bits and pieces of this movie when I student brought it into class to watch. I guess I shoulda paid attention...
Your students get to watch movies during class?
Man, I went to the wrong schools.
LOL! Yesh. My last period class only had 5 kids, and only 3 showed up on average. They were in grade 12 and did the work given, so as background noise, we'd have the radio going or watch movies. Every Thursday/Friday we had movies on. _________________
