I dunno if you have to like the movie just cause you're a fan. I mean, my number one obsession in life is X-men, and I HATED all the X-Men movies... even tho I'm such a fan.
Tell it, girl..!
I'm a big Spidey fan, but I thought the first movie was pretty lame effects and action-wise...
Now they're talking about an Iron Man movie with Robert Downey, Jr. ( )...

Last weekend I went to see Die Hard 4.0 - which was ok I guess...Bruce Willis is still the same badass we know from his Die Hard movies, but the hacking theme made the movie somewhat 'geeky'. oh well I enjoyed it. BUT
I went to the pre-screening of Transformers after that and my feelings about Die Hard 4.0 totally changed, I really tried to like it because I'm a fan of Die Hard movies, but DH4.0 was mediocre at best.
Transformers on the other hand is IMO a great action movie, it's a typically boy/guy movie. But it didn't feel geeky to me at all. Even the jokes weren't cheesy. Don't want to spoil anything, but the transformations looked awesome, although a bit exaggerated at times, it never looked 'fake'. The Autobots were presented in a proper way, while for the Decepticons you had to guess their names. And Devastator was just misnamed, it should have been Blitzwing It was great to hear Prime's original voice actor. It's a shame they didn't get the real Megatron's voice, but they did with the game.

I totally missed the whole Transformers thing. I'm too old, and my kids are too young to be fans.
A friend of mine (mid 20's) is the right age though, he is a massive fan and is a member of several Transformers websites. He got to know someone involved in the movie through one of the sites, and ended up getting an invite to the world premiere in the USA!

X-Men is different to Transformers... Transformers is very phenomenal from the tv series to the toys... its like a Gundam phenomenal.. many in the world is a Transformers collector.. (like myself).. without seeing any Transformers series or releasing a new Transformers toys in the past several years.. and then suddenly a movie is released.. so we are really very happy to Michael Bay in reviving the Transformers phenom again this year.. and seeing the Transformers again eventhough the story suck (which it didnt).. we are very satisfied enough as a fan.. so if a real fan saying the movie suck and stuff like that means he/she is expecting more and its not right.. geez.. i dont know if you get me.. _________________

Live free or Die Hard (aka DieHard 4) was a great movie in my opinion. Other than the obvious constant physic torture (is the only way I could put it haha) that the main character (bruce willis) sustained this movie was actually dead on. Lots of people missed the reference to our current government and the overall media warfare that is currently going on (you may recall the scene when they traveling on the car and the hacker starts laughing at McClane when he says all he watches is the news). Furthermore, many other details were very realistic for example the hotwiring you see in all movies.
My father is a mechanic and he always laughs in the movie theaters when he sees a movie which someone is hotwiring a car. IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE (well unless the car is from the 1970's, but thats another deal) and without any spoilers, the scene in Die Hard 4 was spot on when it came to the hotwiring for that I congratulate them. (they obviously did their research, even if you hotwire a car the steering wheel will still be locked in position people... an you cant turn it at all). I've tried it myself, so I'm talking from experience hehe.
Now as for the hacking...
My only complain about it could be the fact they called it hacking and not cracking. What does guys were doing (the baddies) was cracking. However, I say about 80% of that was also spot on. I've seen my friends "command center" (hahah you guys who seen the movie know what I'm talking about) and trust me is not so far off. Was it geeeky? I don't think so, was it nerdy, FOR SURE! Then again a hacker/cracker doesn't mind being called a nerd...
Overall I rate this movie 9.0/10 _________________

They aren't different at all. The same applies to the X-Men world, from comics to TV to movies to merchandise. It's just a different world with different types of people. In teh same way you're connected to transformers, along with millions of others, so to am I connected to X-men, with millions of others. _________________

I think you're the one who doesn't get what Wynter is saying, sam. Even though you're a fan of transformers, X-Men, Spider-Man, or some other character, it doesn't mean you have to love everything about it. Take Wynter for example. It doesn't make Wynter less of an X-Men fan just because she hated the movie. It just means that she knows what she likes and doesn't like about the X-Men, and she isn't forcing herself to love the movie just because it's an X-Men movie.

I haven't seen it yet, since the subs are incomplete... But Warau Mikaeru was really bad, despite Juri-chan.
Ah sou! Gomenasai.
The point is not liking a movie or a project of your favorite actor/actress or in wyn-chan's case...character/s doesn't mean you're not a fan ne?

Right.
You always hope for the best when watching a movie or drama, but sometimes it doesn't work out.

I'm so going to see this movie.
I think I mentioned this before but I started a bit late on the harry potter series (started when book 6 was released) and I decided to read number 1, lets say got so hooked I read 1-6 in 6 days (I'm not lying here). I was totally shocked at how good they were, they made me feel like a little kid again, a total world of fantasy where anything is possible.
About the movie, this one is going to be great, it was one of the most action packed book of the series and if they can convey even a bit of it to the movie is going to be great. The last one was pretty damn good, like always it skipped a lot of things but one can understand as the book is way longer and can get into more details. Furthermore, when one reads the book the image one creates is always a bit different than what you going to see is the theater. _________________
