Dude, say it ain't so...! Sweat

Bill & Ted 3' Movie Script Finished

04/25/11 12:31 PM ET

Bill and Ted are set to hop into their phone booth and travel to the future.

Alex Winter, who played Bill S. Preston, Esq., in the cult classic sci-fi comedies "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey," tweeted to a fan that the long-awaited threequel had finally been written.

"Just got the script. And now to read..." he wrote on Sunday (via /Film), confirming recent speculation that, 20 years after the series ended, it would begin again.

While it's long been a buzzed about possibility, Winter's co-star, Keanu Reaves, said earlier in April that the film's original writers were six weeks away from a draft.

"When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened," he told MTV about the third film's plot. "So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."

This is the biggest development for the series since 2007, when it seemed as if the film series would get a third installment -- in direct-to-DVD form, and without Reeves and Winter. Needless to say, a theater version with the two stars should be much more exciting for fans.

Following the two films, "Bill and Ted" got two brief TV spinoffs; in 1990, Reeves, Winter and co-star George Carlin voiced the animated series "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures." Less notably, in 1992, a live action show, with neither Reeves or Winter, had a short run.

Recent watched, sure to make GM happy, hehe they sure could crank out the films at a fast pace back then, helped when they're only about 70 minutes long. Victory! Peace!

rofl
And Boris also starred in an old movie series, Mr. Wong, sort of a take off of Charlie Chan, least the Chan films had a real Asian playing the detective which is what the Mr. Wong films were. And even funnier, when Boris couldn't play the part anymore, who'd they get to replace him? Why, Bela Lugosi, Doh! that Hungarian accent though didn't quite work. Naughty

All you need are some eyelids, and a cheesy mustache and poof! ...Asian.

Don't forget Paul Muni and Luise Rainier in The Good Earth...

And Edward G. Robinson playing a Tong axe-hitman...

And Mickey Rooney as a stereotyped Japanese (complete with the glasses and buck teeth) in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Shake Head

...To name a few. Sweat

^^ Remember Rooney in the movie, Blake Edwards said if he could have changed one thing in any of his movies it would have been to change how role turned out, not a highlight of his career. Shake Head
Haven't seen any of the films but was thinking of it, Peter Lorre played Mr. Moto, think he was also some sort of Asian detective.

The Japanese equivalent to Charlie Chan, I guess. Sweat

Now a re-make of Conan the Barbarian is coming out, with Hawai'ian-mix Jason Momoa. I guess Hollywod still doesn't care about DNA. hehe

Been awhile since I've seen Vanishing Point, at first I didn't remember what you were talking about, the ending had left more of an impression. Doh!

If you're still in the mood for car chase movies, you might want to check out The Driver: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077474/

It's got some pretty good car chase scenes, but the best part to me was Bruce Dern as a total 24-carat A-hole cop. I wanted to put a cigarette out in his face.

They've shown that movie more than a couple of times on This-TV... Or was it ION-TV? Head Scratch

Had noticed that film in my search, may be worth a watch, Mr Green did see it listed under 'best car movies' to view, two I did just find were from 1974 Gone in 60 seconds and from 1958 Thunder Road. Sweat
