hm...last episode was kinda nothing special, nothing unexpected happened Sad but well..since the other eps were so great the show still rocked Smile

and there will be a densha otoko special ep with one of his otaku friends as the main character (the one without glasses, who got kicked in the leg in the last ep by one of "Hermes'" friends).
sad that they don't do one about jinkamasan, she was way cooler Bleah

I don't even think it has aired in Japan yet, so why would it be available there.

Yeah, densha otoko is great! But I've to agree that the final part of the last episode is kinda draggy...

and for the special, guess that we've to wait for this coming fri... looking forward to it!

And anybody watched Fuji's Ganbatta Taisho? It's funny to see their MC scenes... esp Jinnai's ab lib... so fierce...

If you've been to fuji's site, u'll see that one of the internet friend is indeed linked with slow dance... they even have a link to slow dance under the characters chart! And you could play a densha otoko game at fuji's website too:
http://wwwz.fujitv.co.jp/denshaotoko/game/index.html
There's a "prize" if u complete the game... but it took me quite a while to "complete" it (I actually found a cheat to clear it... wow, talking about wota....)

maybe the last ep of Densha Otoko dragged on a bit with the main character with the other forum internet members saying their farewells, but it was a great series overall. hehe Thumbsup

Yeah, I definitely think they could have done the series in 10 episodes. 11 was mostly just review and the farewell on the BBS seemed dragged out. At any rate, it had really funny and lovable characters. Even the "bad guys" were more comic than anything.

And any time I get to see Misaki Ito is a treat. What a fox! I remember her in the Grudge.

u need the d man and the bbs crew just go to http://japanetdownloads.blogsome.com

to get the last episode and its subtitles. also i just got home from my friends house. we watched all 11 episodes today. his wife loved it and so did his two young boys. we cried and laughed all day and night. they thought the last episode was good. and yes it was more of a recap and did seem to drag on but overall it was a great series. Plus it was based on a true story.

absolutly correct. that's why I wrote that there will be a special Smile

and wouldn't surprise me at all if it turns up on d-addicts short after it aired since densha otoko is a huge success in japan Big Grin

I've seen the last Densha ep.
Compared to the other eps, this one is not as good.
The best ep I think is the Benoist ep (when they all went to that british tea shop) followed by ep 10.

Now, with Densha done and over with, will there be a new comedy able to take its place...

yeah, felt that the last ep, didn't have the impact and wasn't as good as the other ep's, but overall, funny and one of the best series so far. Bonk

Film fest in Kuala Lumpur

The 50th Asia Pacific Film Festival is just around the corner and Malaysia is planning an exciting event, writes RIZAL JOHAN.

PREPARATIONS for the upcoming 50th Asia Pacific Film Festival from Sept 28 to Oct 1, which is being held in Kuala Lumpur for the first time, are coming along fine, according to Mohd Mahyidin Mustakim, executive secretary for the Malaysia Film Producers Association (MFPA), the organising committee for the festival.

gThings are going well – very well, actually – as we have completed about 85% (of the work) to date,h he said.

The film festival will play host to about 700 international and local delegates.

It will feature numerous activities including the screening of films (at GSC Mid Valley Megamall and TGV KLCC cinemas, Kuala Lumpur) as well as symposiums; the event culminates with an awards presentation night on Oct 1 at the Putra World Trade Centre.

Mahyidin had great news for film fans and members of the public.

gIn conjunction with the festivalfs 50th anniversary, the movies screened during the festival will be free to everyone. All they have to do is turn up at the cinemas. Each person is entitled to two tickets.h

This yearfs fest has attracted entries from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Russia, Taiwan, Iran, Japan, Australia, Pakistan and Malaysia.

Among the films that will be screened at GSC Mid Valley Megamall and TGV KLCC are Mamafs Guest (Iran), Beat Kids (Japan), Ungu Violet (Indonesia), New Police Story (Hong Kong), Puteri Gunung Ledang (Malaysia), Tae Guk Gi (South Korea) and Beautiful, Wonderful, Perfect (Thailand), Initial D (Hong Kong), Shutter (Thailand), Buffalo Boy (Vietnam) and Gangster (Malaysia).

For the complete list of films to be screened at both cinemas, visit www.50apff.com.

The film fest has three competing categories: feature films, short films/documentary and animation.

* Hong Kong
1. Butterfly
2. Initial D
3. The New Police Story

* Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
1. Gangster
2. Puteri Gunung Ledang
3. Qaisy & Laila

* Seoul, Korea Selatan

yes yes. The picture he held up in the end (when he said he was gonna treasure his wife more because of Densha Otoko) showed his character in Slow Dance.

In Slow Dance, he was Tsumabuki Satoshi's learner driver who opened a fish rice stall together with his wife when he marreid her in the series.

The picture was them in their fish rice stall uniforms. It was a really nice easter egg for the fans.
