Me.
Thursday night around I got home around 10pm. A girl followed me out of the elevator. She stopped and turned in front of my neighbor's door and just kept looking at me. She didn't knock or tried to unlock the door. She looked suspicious, so I just glanced at her while unlocking my door. Then she just walked back towards the staircase still staring at me. Me think "wtf?" Then, she open the staircase door halfway and waits still staring at me. Me think "Well, maybe she wants to get invited for a coffee or something... " Then, "why the hell this damn door won't open." Check at the door, oops, wrong floor.
So I walk towards her and said something like "I'm not even on the right floor". She went from a "omg, this guy is going to rape me" expression to a big grin and she tried to suppress laughter. She kept me the door open, but once I got through the door she closed it and didn't follow me. I guess I was trying to get into her apartment.
Went home straight to bed. |
LOL.
Luckily, you didn't get pepper sprayed or worse.

So, I'm over at book-off and I picked up a couple cd's. I'm wearing my "Watanabe Taiko" t-shirt that has "Watanabe Taiko" on the front in kanji just like this: nӁ@. The lady behind the counter's name is Atsuko and as she's giving me my change she looks at my shirt and says, "Oh, Watanabe Taiko". Instead of trying to make some conversation, what does cementhead do, , , I said, "Oh, you can read kanji!!" Like a Japanese person being able to read kanji is the most amazing thing since splitting the atom.

True, but if you're working in a Japanese bookstore, I think it might come in handy. @ AD: hopefully that was AFTER they told you that you had passed the class.

Welcome in the club of the appropriate-reaction-challenged. I recently asked a professional ballerina: So, you like dancing?

you're in good company - apparently Madonna said that about herself on SMAPXSMAP.
