Gonna pay for it soon. Know what you went through, bmw. Think I'm gonna go through the same. And weird thing is that it doesn't bother me at all. _________________

Hi blender1184,
Nice to meet you. I have heard other people say this too. Or something to the effect that they are afraid to die. Since we are all going to die any way, I guess I never fully understood these statements. I am not criticizing you blender1184, no not at all. I am just trying to understand what is there to hate about dying when it is an inevitable fact of life. Maybe you or someone else who feels the same way could explain it to me. Either here or in a PM if you feel like it. Thanks.

Hi Enna.
I enjoy being alive, it's fun.
And since Ifm pretty skeptical about the existence of God and an Afterlife (read: I think itfs absolutely absurd) I really donft have much to look forward to, so this life is all Ifve got. Just because something is inevitable doesnft mean itfs not going to suck when it happens.
I plan on living forever, or die trying.
@blender1184
Thanks for your response. I see your point of view, especially since you think that an Afterlife is absolutely absurd. I believe in reincarnation. To me it makes more sense that our spirit or pure divine energy or soul (whatever you want to call it) would be given more than one chance to purify or rectify or correct any mistakes made in this one lifetime. Keep coming back until we get it just right. There is always room for improvement. So blender1184 you will live forever, no need to fear death. So if energy can neither be created or destroyed, then your life energy will be around for an eternity. But this is a discussion for a whole new thread, isn't it?
Thanks for your answer niko-chan. I don't think you are jumping on me. I am still getting to know people here, so I didn't realize that you are married. I must be getting you mixed up with someone else here who recently showed a pic of himself with his current gf. The pic was of them from behind and walking away from the camera. Who was that?
Oooh is it too impolite to start calling people 'chan' instead of the more formal 'san' before you know them well here? Hope I did not offend anyone.

about being polite, i guess as far as formailties, i don't know about others, but i kinda do it this way, (at least here in the forum...)
i usually address by -san.
if i got to know someone, if they are 'percieved' as older/higher stautus than i am, i still go with -san, because I myself will feel uncomfortable NOT addressing via -san.
if i got to know someone, and 'percieved' as younger/same age/equal status as i am, i will just shorten their user name for guys, and use -chan for girls. for some reason or another, i have a hard time using -kun, but thats just me...
but i have no problems with you address me by way of -chan. And as people get to know how cool you are herein the forum, i don't think they will have any beef as well. Jya matta!

Exactly!!!! I was getting you two confused. Sorry bout that! I didn't know that pcmdem didn't like to show his face. That's right your pic is posted in the member's pic section. Now I will remember! Thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks for that explanation niko2x. It makes sense. My understanding is that 'kun' is usually used as in a younger brother or younger classmate type of situation, right? I am glad that 'chan' didn't bother you niko2x-chan. Me cool???? Aww shucks !!!! Sometimes, I guess.
It is good to get to know you better m'dear.

So....you still prefer dying from a bullet or multiple stabs over drowning or being eaten alive??? I don't think you have to worry about being eaten alive until your out at sea
hmm....Another thing I don't want happening to me is when I grow older, I don't want to lose any of my memories _________________

Is i THAT awefull to be married ?? i'm starting to quesion myself about my beliefs since my enviromment doesn't give me good married couple situaions .... especially ones that had some time together ( long time).
Am i the only one here to think that being married is a good thing ?Or do i need to stop being "naive" ?
I'm way late as usual but my response is that it just depends. I've had nothing but positive marriage influences in my life, yet I just don't want to be married. You shouldn't base how you think that your marriage is gonna turn out on other people's crappy or non-crappy marriages. How your marriage works out all depends on you and your significant other . So I don't think that there's anything wrong with marriage and you aren't being naive . I've never wanted to be married a single day in my entire 23-year-old life. I never even mentioned marriage as a child (or so I've been told or can remember). I just....don't want to get married because...because... hm, well, I just don't want to . If you feel that marriage is good then good for you. I actually feel the same way. I just think that marriage just isn't for some people....and I'm one of them . _________________

What do you mean exactly when you say soul? Our consciousness?

I would start a thread about this, but discussions on faith/religion rarely ever change anyonefs point of view and usually pisses everyone off.

about the embarrasement death, after you are gone, does it really matter?
you have a point. i guess i was thinking of the stigma attaching to my family. to be found dead with a belt round your neck and your pants round your ankles isn't exactly dignified!
