i woke up at 117lbs this morning at 5'2.
for somebody who used to weigh 91lbs (like two years ago)
that's huge.
my good friend up in norcal, lost over 30 pounds in 4 months, and he took up running...he runs three or more times a week...and tries to eat better foods too...
running can be a good addiction.
i run to maintain my weight....and someday maybe..just maybe to do a half-marathon....but another 10k first...

I don't care what people say but Mean Girls was hella funny. So is Saved. It's creepy to see Mandy Moore as a Manic Christian Girl.
I love these movies! It's so hilarious. Hehehe. Mandy Moore. I actually know a few girls who are like her character in this movie. It's really creepy and very annoying. _________________

I started running like a month ago. I'm normally a lazy person and not used to much physical activity so it was a little difficult the first couple times around. Now I'm getting used to it. I lost like about 10 pounds since then so I think I'll stick with it. _________________

shin splits.....i never really got those...but i think it may be attributed to the type of shoes you use when running, are they suitable for running? just curious...l love Asic's....they are my favorite running shoes and give me proper support while running. also, depends on how you run and duration, i think it takes time to develop the running muscles in the legs to support your running....not exactly sure how running can cause the shin splits...
I got a medal when running the Nike Run Hit Wonder 10k..i think the 5k'ers get one too....but yeah not the same type of medal for the marathoners, cause theirs is probably way better and special...

I wanna lose weight too. But it's just really hard. It's retarded, really. I don't go out cause it's way too hot. But I really want to run. Except that I really get bad shin splints.

i suggest maybe try cross training..mixing up your workouts, cardio...
stationary bike, eliptical machine, running on the treadmill, and if weather permits, running outside which is my favorite....because of the natural environment w/ slight hills, scenery...

running outside is going to be worse for someone if they have shin splints because the concerte and/or ashphalt is much harder than a typical treadmill surface.....mixing it up is a good suggestion ....what i suggest is to NOT run but walk fast on the treadmilll but CRANK up the incline...you will end up burning more calories without having to RUN....the increased incline will cause you to burn more calories...it's basically like hiking.

Rowing machine or a stationary bike.
a stationary bike is a pathetic cardio exercise...the rowing machine willl whip you someone's ass....it's much better....but i'm not trippin...the bike is better than nothing...but as i mentioned better yet is a using the treadmill at an incline.
when i used to hike at runyon canyon in hollywood that whipped a treadmilll fo' SHO......but that sh*t is HELLA steep ...f*cking funny i saw justin timberlake kickin' it with some chicks there once, along time ago.
