What do you use as backup? We recently scanned docs into our PC and threw away the originals. So technically, the scanned docs are now the originals, right? Is it better to burn them into CDs? Or would purchasing passport drives be an option?

I bought a Buffalo 500GB external drive expressly for backups... For really important stuff, I also backup to DVD-RW discs as well... Two layers of security, if you will.

I guess that wouldn't hurt. I just don't really like the idea of DVDs lying around. Do you still use DVD-R for dramas?
