In Norway no one had a dryer. Nut They all complained dryers use too much power. Too expensive.
It took forever to bring all the laundry upstairs and pin it on the clothesline.

Isnt time worth something? Shake Head

I want to know who has time to be spare for all that pinning, and then ending up with stiff as a board clothes.

I know, I know, I am an American Girl and love my Mod Cons. ashamed

About to head off to China town, I say town, we only have one supermarket really. Already I miss Manchester, it had numerous asian supermarkets, bakerys & resturants.

And that's only the beginning - green is the new black in Europe. Mr Green
It's all about down-sizing hehehe

Hint: use an ecofriendly softener. Mr Green

Speaking of which, I was going to buy some furniture made out of wenge wood over lunch. That is until somebody pointed out that wenge is listed as endangered species. And most (highend) design shops are selling it. bleh -> EstherM - currently hunting for sustainable furniture.

Typical. High end means expensive and exclusive. Not renewing and economic. Shake Head

Are you in a rural area? Our town has no Asian market though we have good Japanese and Thai food restaurants. Mr Green

I'm from Lincoln which is a city, its in the heart of Lincolnshire which has a lot of farming areas, so yes I'm surrounded by rural areas. I think its mostly because we don't have a very high asian population. We have more Polish stores and their food isn't as tasty. hehe
