Lol, doing the dishes is my daily therapy. You can just stand there and let your hands and arms do their thing, while you let your brain re-charge from a full day's work. And it beats having to do actual chores, like vacuuming or cooking or (God forbid!) cleaning the bathroom...

I know what you mean about kanji. I keep forgetting you're actually studying Japanese...

Hrm... for some reason my computer went funny when I tried to post my comment
AD - I want to be a translator some day, that's why I decided to go for it officially... I made the choice after I was made redundant from my 4 year job.
EG - Haha well I have been through the whole learning thing now so I get it, if there's anything in particular you want to let me know... I can write it on fb or sommet save me spamming the forum with Korean ^^;;;
Alternatively if you prefer I can give you the link to the amazing site I found _________________

As the resident alcoholic I would say: depends on the flavour!

Good choice! I am considering the same, there is this great Japanalogy course in Leuven, 15mins out of Brussels but it would mean stop working for 4 years and I would one of the few mature students. I need another year to think about it. Or find a rich husband to support me

It was a tough choice or me, because I REALLY wanted to do it, but I was worried about the money! What made it worse is I live at home so I had my parents to keep reminding me about the debt :/
I am 24... soon to be 25 I am the oldest in my class though there are 3 other mature students and in September there is a girl who will be in my year who is a couple of years older than me ^^
Not sure what Uni is like over there, but in the UK we take out Student loans to cover the fees because it is really expensive >><< bring on the debt! T_T
EG - I am still learning Nihongo XDDDD definitely still learning! I have only been learning it officially at uni for a year. But when I want to do something it doesn't matter how silly it is I have to do it... no sane person would think of learning two Asian languages at the same time haha!
Anyway I think... enough Korean for today, back to Japanese, which I understand! yay! haha
Why are you old to study abroad? :o You're never too old ^_^ _________________
