Doing a backup on to a new external harddrive. It is going to take eight hours. So far only two have gone by. Peg

Do you have a FireWire connection? It cuts the time by A LOT!

I transferred everything from one Mac to another everything with firewire and it didnt take hardly any time.

MAybe I dont have anything in it?

Well it rather shocked me, as well as the guy who got it for me. I really do have a huge amount of stuff in my docs. I am a download freak and I don't get to burn everything on to disc quick enough. It's all finished now. I had to put everything on to start but now it will just add anything as I d/l. It's the second external HD I have had and this one holds a library of stuff. I am happy and relieved now. I could not bear to lose the last few years or more that I have carefully saved. I love my computer. Peg

Back at work....rough night, my neighbors decided it was a good idea to throw out there garbage at 2 o'clock in the morning, too bad their bag ripped as they were walking down the stairs...I love the sound of cans and boxes hitting the floor at 2 am... -Dave _________________ Too many JDramas, so little time!!

Eric Clapton is terrific.

And Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker are pretty darn good as well.
